Actually, i believe  their career went in the toilet with regard to country music fans when they decided to get into it with Toby Keith, and the Dixie Chicks came to realize that you can insult the president but you don't fuck with Toby Keith.  Just say'in.

That is when they really started to get pulled, which i am SOOO glad lol.   But i think part of the initial issue was WHERE they said it and to whom.  I bet if they had said it at home to Americans, they wouldn't have had such a backlash.  And didn't they apologize?  I think that irritated a lot of people also.

Nancy Pelosi claims protesters are "carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare."

Now, if its true they were, then no, she didnt call them nazi's. If they didnt, then it could be construed as her calling them that.

She was asked if she thought they were legit grass roots opposition and she replied that they were carrying nazi symbols.

Which means that the answer to the reporter`s question, was no.

I guess guess no one`s allowed to point out when jerks carry swastikas,...... for fear of being accused of abusing the "n" word.

That was actually a rather amusing kerfuffle. CNN checked it out, and Factcheck.org reported CNN's findings...

Host Rick Sanchez showed a photo of a woman outside a Fort Collins, Colo., meeting with a sign that featured a swastika with a slash through it. Another photo from Denver is of a child in a stroller who is obscured by a sign bearing the words "No to Fascism"; it also bears a slashed-through swastika....

It is clear from the images in hand that the anti-Obama protesters were the ones accusing others of Nazi-like tendencies.

Some people claimed that the photos proved Pelosi was right, and others that they proved she was lying.

You decide.
