my favorite modern games... Borderlands is easily at the top. i really loved the original God of War (except for all the levels with spinning blades -- i haven't played GoW2 to see if the developers ever got any imagination about those... =p)
i want to play Dead Island, and the aforementioned Oblivion and Fallout games. Rage also looks kinda neato.
i "like" Bioshock, but in the sense that i can only watch someone else play it. it's too scary to me to play myself. hahahhaa
the resident evil games were kinda like that -- i could play through them in short bursts. =p
and geeeeez!!! Clock Tower was THE scariest game ever -- another one i couldn't actually play myself (it was really handy growing up with a brother, i'll say that much. =p)
i used to love a lot of RPGs on SNES. breath of fire 1&2, the final fantasy series, lufia and the fortress of doom, etc etc -- oh and pirates of darkwater -- i could play that game to the end, start it over, and play it through again, it was just so much fun. =p
