Sam I know where you're coming from. Trust me, in the babble of voices that float around in this mess, yours is one that I both listen to and think about. I like the fact that we can sit on different sides of an issue and not fall into the you're and idiot, well you're an asshole game. I like the fact there is reason and thought in what you say, because unlike some folks here, I can and do change my mind and don't consider myself a flip flopper, you know? It's just that I've about reached the point where it's like... how do I know a politician is lying? Because his or her friggin mouth is open. I swear. I've seen too many spins, too many gotcha votes, too many twistings of positions, and way too many things sent across with hidden agendas driving them. I like the Tea Party. I like the OWS people. I like it when people take part in their government and notably, start holding the fuckers accountable because that's what we're going to have to do to take back some sense of control, both over those who would control us, and the future. There are a lot of opinions here, many of them strong opinions and for the most part, good opinions. The fact that they differ reflects the atmosphere in the US, and really, the world. Funny thing too, like Tea Party and OWS.. them folks got some common ground, but I doubt they'll ever stand on it. One thing is for certain though, the only way they will is with reasonable voices floating among and between them, not with this finger-pointing, partisan hack stuff.
