ORIGINAL: LanceHughes I truly believe it's absurd that anyone is still running IE 6 and bragging on themselves. Okay, that's not even close to absurd. If that's the weirdest thing about You, You must be the normallest person on Earth. Which would make Your desire to join a club with a bunch of freaks... TOTALLY ABSURD!!! Welcome the Absurd Club, Lance. i hereby designate You the Official Club Straight Man. Oh, wait... pam Sticky fingers, sticky key-board, sticky monitor. How absurd to think I could come back here and not expect to snort my Pepsi. Well, in the vaudiville days, a "straight man" set up the joke, just as I did here. Oh well, I guess that's pretty absurd, right there, agreeing that I accept the title of "Official Club Straight Man." Now, I have to go figure out some straight lines for pam..... or would that be absurd? Actually performing duties as assigned? Yeah, that'd cement (<== 1st opportunity, m'dear, don't miss it) my position both as a member (<== 2nd) and as being absurd. Speaking of being a member, was chatting with a gay, male German CM member about the word "Mitglieder" which translates as "member," in the sense of a member of an organization. He told me that teen agers like to break it apart into "mit Glieder" which translates as "with penis." Thus, we know where calling a dick as a "member" comes from. ^^^^ That was pretty absurd. BUT! In thinking about what pam said "If that's the most absurd thing....." I was trying even harder to break my "Me, absurd? Nonsense," barrier. I would like to submit a replacement application, if I may..... I think it's absurd that I have over 6,000 pieces of "collectible" glass in my house. There is no sofa, there are no chairs.... just boxes and boxes stacked (in some places 6 or 7 high.) There are 8 or 9 industrial shelving units - some glass is "out." Oh, and three rolling shelves as used by hospitals to deliver meals. BUT! Now the really absurd part.... there was a shelving unit next to the dumpster across the alley..... I can't / won't type the rest...... Oh, and one three weeks ago..... ETA: And to put not too fine a point on it: NOT realizing how absurd my collection is is REALLY, really absurd.
