ORIGINAL: geilematz only USAmericans believe a) ... And here I was, all this time, trying to explain to my fellow citizens that they should 'get out more,' internationally speaking, and in any event avoid overgeneralizing and oversimplifying. And then you show up with that statement, which personifies ALL that. You bring disgrace upon your better thinking citizens. If you are not even aware of the not insignificant numbers of Europeans who argue against environmental considerations at all, aside from the real concerns of what the Chinese (not to mention the Russians ... or the Malaysians, or the Indonesians ... ) are doing, not to mention how the largest German and Swiss banks had much to do with trashing the economy of the world ... Suffice it to say that you just blew up anything I ever said about thinking outside your own region or country, with that single completely idiotic post of yours. You are focused on targeting one country as to blame for all troubles in the world, which blinds you to your own neighbors' (indeed, some portion of your own citizens') contribution to any of the troubles of the world at all. Germany and Switzerland are huge exporters of arms to African countries. Ever notice that? I thought not. In fact, much larger exporters of "disruption to Democracy" 'per-capita' than even than even the US or the UK. That says quite a lot, right there. Do some homework, get a clue, etc. PS How about you just limit yourself to sitting at the cafe and bitching with your neighbors about the Turks. Want to see who's generalizations are closer to the truth, here?
