Honestly, I wish women would stop buying the shitty magazines that continually purvey this 'ideal' of ill-looking stick-thinness.

I saw this in a film once. It's a fun test.

Question #1: Would you date someone who is significantly overweight?

Question #2: Have you?

No, no.

I have a very healthy diet and work out at the gym four times a week, and bike 60 miles a week. If someone doesn't have a similar healthy, active lifestyle we simply wouldn't be compatible.

So what about someone who has a healthy, active lifestyle and is also overweight. They do exist.

Or, what about someone who has a naturally great body but does not work out?

I find it's extremely rare for someone who is significantly overweight to have a healthy diet, an aggressive exercise regimen, and have an active lifestyle. For the most part, people who are significantly overweight are eating poorly and getting insufficient exercise.

Most people join a BDSM website because they're into BDSM. It's as simple as that. Out of curiosity, do you think there's more obese women than men on this site? Do you think there are more obese submissive women than dominant women? If not, then your theory that there's some psychological motivation doesn't hold much weight.

what woman say that is 5-6 125 or so wakes up and says oh I really wish I was 185 or more.

i doubt it happens very often, but what does that have to do with submission?  The rape idea is bogus, but if you can find any other way to correlate female obesity with submission, i would be interested in hearing it.  (Or, for that matter, to connect male obesity with submission.)

I don't know. You seem to know what's going on out there but your pic is of a good bod and the first few lines of your profile state how fit and attractive you are. You definately should have made that point but it goes to show how easy it is to fall into the "must look good" trap. Given that a lot of men see women only with their eyes the pressure on them is even more intense to look good

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you have said. By the way, nice avatar. I guess you have to exercise and watch what you eat to look that good. I guess you are self aware enough to realise that your photo is attractive to the majority of people looking for a partner? I guess you might not have been so keen to post a pic of a huge fat beer belly? But I guess you are clever enough to understand that you are just lucky to look like that and that peer pressure or social pressures never affected your decisions

Thank you for your compliment. But, are you suggesting that I shouldn't have made my earlier point because what I am, and in particular my physical shape, is partly the result of peer pressure?

subjpn001 -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/25/2011 6:14:01 AM)

yes, and yes.
I prefer their physique to sub to.
But must be beautiful. not those less than 5'3" tall and
weigh more than 300 lbs and can hardly move.
of course if theirs are natural and have a good lifestyle that is a plus.

Then I must be in that extremely rare grouping. I have about 100 pounds to lose to be considered average weight and completed two half-marathon races this year. I'm very active and almost never eat processed foods (I stick with whole foods and often cook it myself).

NocturnalStalker -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/25/2011 6:57:02 AM)

And how much times do you actually exercise in a week?

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/25/2011 7:25:50 AM)

I am one of those people who have struggled with weight all their lives. I am still not exactly skinny, but through healthy eating and a very active life, I am pretty fit, and my weight is under control. I am sure that there were men who have rejected me because of my size, but there were plenty who didn't, too. The reason I couldn't date someone who was extremely overweight is because I would be afraid that it would affect my own eating and exercise habits. Kind of like why recovering alcoholics shouldn't hang out with drunks.
My Love now is pretty chunky, but not extremely overweight. I am still attracted to him, and we are working on his weight. On the weekends, we go hiking, or I just get him to help me around the farm. Cutting firewood and putting up hay burns a few calories, for sure. I really don't like moobs, but I am willing to overlook them in him.

I like moobs. Breast bondage is fun.

thechef -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/25/2011 8:44:35 AM)

Interesting question. I personally am attracted ,and at times, drawn to the more soft and Rubenesque women, but have never noticed a "percentage" of body types one way or the other. I'm 6'2" and am not a small guy @ 260#, although I seem to be able to "carry" it ok w/my height...I think it come down to personal preferences and the health and stamina you want from a partner, D or s...just my opinion.

JanahX -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/25/2011 8:56:36 AM)

Im thin as thin can be. And I love it.
But I also am very self centered and take HOURS out of my day to groom, exercise and eat properly.

But thats what makes me happy- because I know that Im doing my best.

The dood I see digs it .. and thus I dig it.

I love my life because of it and I love the reflection of myself in the mirror!!

There is going to be plenty of time in the future when I am older that Im not going to be loving it ... so now while Im younger..Im going to enjoy what I consider a beautiful body image.

This is me - I swim, walk, workout, and practice yoga, but I also really love to cook and eat. Except for my anemia and a knee I injured on the leg extension machine, I'm quite healthy, according to my doctor and latest bloodwork.

I generally cook everything from scratch, don't eat conventionally raised meat or dairy products, and buy organic for the produce Dirty Dozen.

Yes, I dated a string of these after my ex and I split up.

Now that I'm done with training for halfs, I still workout 4-5 days a week for about an hour a day. I'm currently focusing on flexibility and strength training and less on cardio (in training for the halfs, my focus was extensively in cardio). On average I strength train 2-3 days, yoga/flexibility 2 days and moderate cardio 2 days a week.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/25/2011 9:07:52 AM)

that's me, also -- i dance almost every day of the week, i eat pretty well, i had been running regularly (need to get back to that =p) and i enjoy yoga. i've lost 30 lbs, but i'm losing weight so i can buy clothes more easily, not necessarily because i think it's the only way to be attractive. i love hiking, and camping, and being outdoors.

i know several people who have smaller bodies than i have, but who are total slobs who laze around and eat, smoke, and drink all day. =p

Ya, jeans are more comfy without the belly and there's definitely more selection in the smaller sizes.

My yoga practice was much more intense when I weighed less. I have to do girly Chataranga at this weight. I did do the intense version a few weeks ago and my triceps were sore for days.

NocturnalStalker -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/25/2011 9:23:03 AM)

But I thought there were more overweight people in general which would mean that naturally it would be difficult to find clothing for slim people.
