Can you reliably hit the heart of a large bear charging at you with a smoothbore? That's pretty much the only shot with a 12 gauge slug that would take down any brown bear.

Theyre very good for deer or wild hogs. I wouldn't use one on Griz.
The minimum I'd use on Griz would be one of the Weatherby magnum cartriges.
Minimum .378 or maybe even a .460

The 50 cal is becoming a lot more popular too.

He is bat shit crazy... which has nothing to do with political party ties. lol sometimes.

In his case, rejection seems to have been the motivating factor.

Now what political party has that is their central theme and mantra?

Now it`s possible he was neither right nor left or outwardly political,....... but that`s not the point.

The point is the vitriol and violent rhetoric, was COMING FROM THE RIGHT,....................... and it had an effect.A real one,with real people and real death.

The campaign to make Loughner a lefty is just a defensive reaction by some rightists,like dearest-leader-rush and Popeye and says more about rush and popeye than it does about loughner.

Loughner`s not a lefty or even close to one.The only things political from this nut, point to the right.

The "gubment fucking us" comment and his interest in anti-imagrent groups ..............and shooting a democrat,................... kinda points to the right,if there are any pointers at all.

But again,the obfuscations about Loughner`s politics are bullshit destractions and kinda pathetic and aren`t even the fucking point.

It is the use of bigotry,fear,hate and the threat of violence for political purposes by the right, that is the point.

Claim 1st amendment rights all you want but there`s a cost to reckless political use of violent rhetoric.It`s the political equivalent of shouting fire in a crowded theater(falsely).
