You're right, scores of people expecting/demanding free stuff shouldn't happen in America. Unfortunately it is. Hopefully they all knock it off and get jobs soon.

That would be you, actually. What percentage of that supposed 16% can work, but chooses not to? (And don't claim none, we all know better than that.)

Furthermore, what does "occupying wall street" have to do with a 16% unemployment rate? There was a protester in New York with a sign saying corporations should provide him with free tuition. For what? What makes these people think they are entitled to something they didn't earn?

A protester.... uh huh.... and that one speaks for the whole movement.

And OWS has nothing to do with the unemployment numbers... so why are you claiming they dont have jobs?

that's part of the problem. They have no spokesman. They have no message. They are "occupying" these places for whatever reason they want. There's no clear endgame in mind. Most don't even know what it is they are protesting.

Well, Professor, It's not rocket science. They're spending days, if not weeks, living in tents holding signs in protest of.....something. Hard to do that and hold down a 9-5 job.

No need. The protesters are the ones "gnawing on their own feet." I have a job and go to 3 college classes per semester -- college classes I attend using the G.I. Bill earned from my years of military service. I don't get, nor expect, anything free from anyone. Perhaps the protesters should do the same instead of whining over the basic tenants of capitalism.

That's not why they are being arrested. It's why they are being told to disperse. Those who refuse to heed orders to disperse, and those who then begin to cause a public disturbance are arrested.
