Status: offline 		In Europe, American beer is considered piss.
Why anyone would want to drink a case of weak, fizzy, tasteless slash instead of 6 or 7 decent Real Ales is beyond me.
Some of your bourbons are OK. Combining them with sweet enablers is an abomination.
Single Scottish malts are the drink of the discerning toper.
Reading this thread makes me think you don't deserve any drunks.

The biggest selling Scotch in Scotland, by leaps and bounds is Famous Grouse... a Blended Scotch

Why do millions of Scots drink it...because they LIKE it.

Why do millions of Americans drink Budwiser or Miller or Coors... because they LIKE it.

Why do people mix cocktails? Because they are fun and people LIKE them.

I think a lot of it has to do with how so many places have cracked down on drunk drivers. Even just going out to dinner and having a couple of glasses of wine can get you a DUI. Most people just don't think it is worth it, so they drink at home. Of course, having a drink or two at home is also so much less expensive.

This is true. I know that I have to be careful even having a beer or glass of wine. Forget some sort of mixed drink.

No matter how much the quantity is, if it taste like ass people won't buy it.

Roadhouse Burger's are good and high end aged Prime Steaks are good.

I'll put Pikesville Rye at $22 a 1.75 against any Bourbon in the country. Does that mean I don't love Michter's 25 year? Heck no... they are both fine tasting whiskeys.

A White Castle slider is one of the best tasting things on the planet.

A deep fried corn dog at a summer festival with yellow mustard opens portholes to nirvana.

Live in absolutes and snobbery if you want.... but I will chose to taste life

Cept for the White Castle thing I never got. Seriously, I thought that was the WORST burger I have ever eaten.

And to the list, once every year or two I make a trip to a carnival and on the to-do list. Corn dogs and a funnel cake!

Also once every year or two, a trip to KFC. I don't care what anyone says, the Colonel did a fair job frying chicken and the slaw with biscuits rock.

I enjoy junk food, raw vibrant music and vulgarity as much as anyone.
The American beer that has reached Europe is drunk by kids.
Am told that there are quality ales in the U.S
They don't get here.

Anyone who thinks WC is a good burger cant afford anything that costs more than $1.33 for 20 of them.

Sure - because they don't know any better and get used to garbage from the very beginning
I have seen American tourists spitting out beer in Budweis/Ceske Budejovice because they didn't like the taste - not because it was the real taste of the real thing but because there was a taste at all

And single Malts should stay the domain of Scotland since they're the only ones who have maintained the strict traditions of the beverage.
Bourbons are an adolescent path similar in course but different enough to be American. Problem with those is too many people get exposed to Jim Beam at an early age.

I agree... both of these open portholes ... so stick close to the porta john after you eat em... specially if you wash em down with a Bud
