I guess I would be pissed too, they are there for OWS, and I think that if they were there for professional homeless and ex-con freeloading day they would be pissed at OWS people coming there to get a handout.

Most of the pictures you are seeing is not people standing in the chowline, its people getting the shit kicked out of them or standing there protesting, I think the pros come for dessert and head for the crib, I doubt they are puffing any numbers. Nobody wants to get a fuckin crack in the head with a baton for some bouncing betty.

Here is the thing Ron...in sanity's addled mind that piece reflected badly on the OWS folks....normal folks( re: you and I ) see it for what it is. It is New York city, stand still long enough an a vagrant ,scam artist or general undesirable will try to take advantage of you...comes with the territory ...nothing new here at all.Those folks have been there awhile,the word has probably went out amongst the pan handling community that free eats are available,I'm sure were some homeless person to decide to actually get involved in the move,net he would be welcome like everyone else....but they can't have every vagrant stopping by at meal time and than walking off to go about their own pan handling way till they are hungry again.

Sanity doesn't like OWS and this article says they have been feeding the homeless but will slow that activity down. How does that put OWS in a bad light? The only conclusion I can come to is that, as usual, sanity didn't read something before he posted it.

The point is that OWS is all about wealth distribution until it is something that THEY have that people just as needy, if not more, want. Then it's "get your own and get lost". I remember when they were pissing and moaning about people stealing laptops and phones. They weren't stolen, only redistributed.

I live not far from NYC. They call them "professional homeless" and "ex-cons". Who are you to determine how needy they are or are not? If you are all about sharing the wealth, then share the fucking wealth. Turn the park into a commune. Anyway, I don't wear pants, and Master doesn't share well.
