In the article you posted... the Republic one.... they stated this... The trouble Herman Cain is experiencing with Politico’s scoop on an alleged past settlement of sexual harassment charges—as well as his initial reaction to it—was, in many respects, predictable. I was asking how they came about the idea that they are alleged?

Cain's recollection of the reported financial settlements has changed through the week. At first he said he was unaware of any settlement, then said an accuser had been paid three months salary, then upped that to three to six months salary. Today, the New York Times reported that one of the women had accepted a settlement from the NRA that was worth a full year's pay, $35,000. Said employment lawyer David Scher, "When you pay someone a year of salary to resolve a case, that means the company probably thought there was some merit to it."

I hardly think in matters like this that political affiliations are pertinent unless it can be shown that the accuser has purely political motives behind the accusation. The one Sanity is referring too is the third woman to come forward... who did not file because she had heard the other two did. Currently she has no party affiliation on voter records... and doesnt donate to anyone. How she can be linked to any political motivation is beyond me.
