You say it's wrong to date someone that asks you do something you don't want to do but seem to be saying it is ok to date them if they make you do it by force. I may be reading this wrong but it seems to be what you are saying.

I think I miscommunicated something. I was trying to say a D/s relationship is generally a bad idea when the dominant partner expects things of the submissive partner that the submissive partner isn't willing to provide (and vice-versa). I'm generally not willing to provide cleaning services, but, I am perfectly fine with the idea of being disciplined for acting out of line in the context of a D/s relationship, and I would accept cleaning duties as discipline. You know, the kind of things that should be sorted out in the negotiation stages.

Also, I wanted to apologize again for that earlier post, I have a bit of a tendency to be an asshole toward people. Not sure if it's because I have Asperger's or because I dislike people for the most part or if it's a defence mechanism or what, but that doesn't really matter. I'm trying to keep that under control, but it still pops through every now and again. Again, I'm sorry.

I believe I understand what you are saying but, again, to me it seems wrong. Opinions differ though and thats ok. It's not as if we have to agree on this. Maybe we should just wait and see what others have to say. Added opinions can't hurt can they.

As to the excuse thing....when I typed it the first time I typed "you wouldn't like he excuse I came up with" <this is a Freudian slip because it implies the only excuse I could come up with for what you said is the fact that you are male. Those that know me very well know that my opinions as to the behaviour of men can be extreme. Which is why I said you didn't want the excuse I would come up with.

i wouldn't know,

i'm hardly expected to do much housework

and Master loves cooking so He always cooks.

we have gardeners for the weeding etc and someone mows the lawn, neither of us wish to do those things...dirty and annoying and certainly too much hard work when there's better things to be spending your time doing.

i'm expected to look after my appearance and always have Him on my mind, that's what's important, to Him at least.

I have bird watching as a hard limit. Nothing against birds, I just thought it was hilarious that you could even have it, plus it is at the end of my profile. So if someone mentions it. i know they have read the whole thing and not just looked at the pictures. :-)

If I have a 24/7 live in slave and I am paying the bills, I am not doing the housework, cooking, cleaning, laundry etc... If it's a live in sub and we both work, that's different.

I can see putting things like Opera as dislikes, but a hard limit, really?

A seat at the Met that does not require an oxygen mask or binoculars to see the stage, costs about $100. Factor in the travel cost, dinner afterward and so on, it's quite a hunk of change. Call me cheap, but if you don't absolutely love it, why would I want you to go? I could use the money I save to hire a maid.

Or, are we talking about using Opera as a punishment. You know. Tying her in front of the TV and making her watch the ring cycle. Hmmmm...

The whole problem with this thread is that people are judging other people's hard limits based on their own likes and dislikes and never bothering to ask someone why they might have an unusual hard limit. Because most people do have a good reason.

Actually i do not meantion it but i do have a trauma with death pigeons, really really hate them... Its very sad but true...
