I much prefer waxing. With a skilled waxer it isn't particularly painful (and occasional momentary sting) and is very quick (less than half hour). The hair does need to grow back between a small amount, but it doesn't have the itchies or stiff stubble period like shaving gives you, instead of bluntly cut off edges coming out of the skin it is growing out the natural way. For me, it takes about 5 weeks to get to where it's time to wax again, for everyone it varies a little.

I use a straight razor to shave. After a few nicks over the years I've gotten quite adept at it. I prefer no hair from front to back. Something about hair on the anus is a major turn off to me. The only hair I have is chest hair, I has a happy trail!

I think some men like it and some don't, just like some women like chest hair or facial hair and some don't. I think it's just a preference thing. Might as well just find one that likes what you like because it would be annoying to have to be something you don't want to be for a long time if it turned into a relationship, and for you to change on them could be annoying for them

As for the hair vs none, my guy likes shaved, so shaved he gets.  If he liked hair, then I'd keep it trimmed.  It's up to every individual taste.

I'm new to all this so I have questions. My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years, he used to go to underground dungeons before me. I've asked him to take me and tell me what goes on so we can incorporate some of this in the bedroom but he won't really tell me much. I do know he likes to be dominated but if feels weird without any direction as to what he really likes. He always tries to make me happy and he says that he'll tell me later and never does. Should have started your own thread, but welcome to CM and the boards Sierra.  The best way to ask him is directly.  Ask him if you can sit down and have an open and honest conversation about what you want to know.  That's the most important thing in a M/D/s relationship.  Honesty, communication and trust.  You need all three to make things work.

Since he's told you a bit, then let him know you want to know more.  No harm or foul in that.  Make sure there's no distractions, and ask him to be honest and open about what he'd like to do.  Since he's the one who appears to be submissive, then he'd want you as his Dominant.  Hell, order him to tell you and I'll betcha he'll be a happy guy.  JMHO of course.  Good luck.

I'm actually old enough to recall when shaving started to be a big thing in fetish porn back in the 80s. It comes and goes like every other affectation. I have shaved to please my lovers, but like many other posters, I'm a lazy bastard. I will take clippers to outrageous growth to at least try and keep it neat, but I started turning into a bear in my 30s, and it just became a losing battle. I do agree that getting around the hair can present an obstacle to oral sex.

I like the itching, and all the trouble, and everything else. It pleases me to know my lover has put themselves through so much trouble for my benefit. I also appreciate dieting, exercise, and all those other little touches. I have never required any of them from my lovers, but I am pleased if they choose to take on the effort.
