The bastard had the gall to scold the reporters for caring about it.

This pisses me off no end.  The Fourth Estate has a DUTY to stand up to this.  They've been far too deferential to elected officials and candidates.

Hopefully, it'll continue to be talked about, and the articles will include statements that the Cain campaign refuses to respond.

just goes to show that just because you can, doesnt mean you should...Palin supporters understand that!!!
heheheh
Michele had something to say to Mr Cain(bad bad bad liberal hit pieces)
"There's been 10 instances in the last month where he's changed his positions on significant issues," Bachmann told Hennen.

"On the issue of pro-life, he said government shouldn't intervene to protect life and then he switched and said 'no they should.' He wasn't for the marriage amendment, and then he said he was. Then he said that he would allow the terrorists to go out of Guantanamo Bay. In other words, he would release the terrorists. Then he changed his mind and said 'no,'" said the U.S. House member from Minnesota.

"He just said this week that China was developing a nuclear weapon. They've had one for 47 years. He said that 9-9-9 would be equitable and fair, and then he changed it to 9-0-9 after people called out his errors," she said.

Bachmann argued that once Cain realized his positions weren't popular with American voters, he changed them. The real issue is not the sexual harassment scandal that's captured the attention of the national media for a week, but whether the former top executive of the Godfather's Pizza chain is ready to be president, she said.

"This is the leader of the free world we're talking about," Bachmann said. "We're in very dangerous times when it comes to our national security and very dangerous times economically. We need to know that our president of the United States is going to go in there and do bold things and know what they're talking about and be consistent."

So ... do any of the reported "stories' contain any supporting facts?  Or is it just all anonymous sources this and that?

If there are no facts, it's not a news story.  It can be an opinion piece, or a political analysis, but its not a news story.

So, not only is it "over", it never really began.  It wasn't news to start with.

Why is it "gall" when a man stands up that you don't agree with, but "courage" or "balls" when a man stands up, and you agree with him?

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll, taken since the news broke last Sunday, “represents the first evidence that sexual harassment claims dating from Cain's time as head of the National Restaurant Association have taken a toll on his presidential campaign.”

The poll showed the percentage of Republicans who view Cain favorably dropped 9 percentage points, to 57 percent from 66 percent a week ago, Reuters reports. Among all registered voters, Cain's favorability declined 5 percentage points, to 32 percent from 37 percent.

A majority of respondents, 53 percent, believe sexual harassment allegations against Cain are true despite his denials, according to the news agency poll. Republicans were less likely to believe they are true, with 39 percent thinking they are accurate. Also, 40 percent of the 1,007 poll respondents, who were queried online Friday and Saturday, said the harassment issue left them with a less favorable toward Cain. About 35 percent of Republicans said the controversy had made them less favorable toward Cain.

Still, 35 percent with a less favorable view (and 39 percent believing the charges) is a large segment of Cain’s own party. And as Ipsos pollster Chris Jackson said, "The most striking thing is that Herman Cain is actually seeing a fairly substantial decline in favorability ratings toward him particularly among Republicans.”

Firm, true, look at Bill Clinton and Monika, she told of the blue dress and cigars,  another woman said he raped her in a hotel room.
No scandal there! Right?
Anyone can accuse anyone of  anything.
Why didn't these women come forward years ago if the accusations are true?
Something's rotten in Denmark.
And whose next, Oblunder?

Non disclosure agreements migh,I repeat might be the explanation you are looking for pops. That and the fact that he is now a high profile candidate for the nomination.
What do you think pops...is it possible that might explains things ? Or will you be sticking to the "something's rotten in Denmark" theory

Yes.  Every one of them does.

Years ago, Herman Cain was accused of sexual harassment, by two different women.  That's a fact.

The lobbying firm that he worked for, gave each of them a year's pay or mor, not to talk about it.  That's a fact.

Cain left the organization before his contract was up.  That's a fact.

When the information came out, Cain said that he didn't remember it.  Then he said that well, yeah, he remembered it, but it was an "agreement", not a "settlement".  Then he said he didn't remember ir.  Then he said that they got "a few month's pay, for severance".  Then he said he didn't remember it, again.

Those are facts.

When asked, by Fox News if he had ever harassed a subordinate, his response was to vigorously deny that he had ever done it, anywhere other than at that lobbying firm.  That's a fact.

Other witnesses have come forward, claiming that they, too, have observed him harassing subordinates.  Including recently.

And, now, he's decided that asking him questions he doesn't want to answer is a violation of journalistic ethics.

All of those are facts.

----------

Now, Cain's repeated claims that this is all being done by the Perry campaign, but he doesn't have any proof?  Now, that's called "an accusation".  (Or, more accurately, "a self-admitted, unsubstantiated, accusation".)

But Cain making the allegation without proof?  Well, that's a fact, too.

What's rotten in Denmark, Mike, is anybody who gets up on the high horse about this, after giving Clinton a pass on his serial harassment, and sexual exploitation of women.

Either people care, or people don't.

Same could be said about conservatives, Rich. They raked Clinton through the coals.. and still do... over the allegations... yet are wanting to give Cain a pass. Personally, I wouldnt have thought too much about the allegations regarding Cain, except his flip-flopping drove me up the wall. Be a man, admit your mistakes (as he said repeatedly he would do) then move on.

Either people care, or people don't.
Or,conversely, anyone trying to minimize this after engaging in,or cheering on ,impeachment hearings over what was ,in the end consensual sex between adults
Funny how that works ,heh Rich ?

Wasn't this an "internet poll"?
