"The Idea that people are paying the same taxes as the person who washes their car is absolutely fucking insane"
Course anybody with 1/10th of a brain would get that Floyd and the Dead and Rage Against The Machine, And all the other artists that will come forward ALONG WITH THEIR FANS... have ALWAYS been in the tank for Social Justice. But I wanted the Floyd fans here to know 'we've got your Roger, don't make any sudden moves'

oh come on you have the right to bitch about it what more can anyone ask for in a free country?

Who was the Guy Roger had on the 04 Tour

Frampton.

Oh wait. I guess he'll just have to Google for his answer, won't he?

I saw the performance in Portland, which wound up up being the dvd release show. Regardless of the debate over who had the talent, or if was a collective blend, that achieved such timeless classics at their peak, the fact remains that a Waters-less Floyd was selling out stadiums when they toured, and I picked up bottom of the second level seats at the box office the day of the concert, and they had just been discounted 30%.

Probably spending less time than you do listening to the conservative talking heads that you parrot on here every day.

Like Ted Rall?

I get a few minutes of Bill Handel in the morning, which must explain my barrage of Conrad Murray threads, huh? I come home to music (though I do have some sound snippets from the audio version of Obama's first book in the mix - it's always funny when the ipod tosses in the unmistakeable voice of Barack Obama saying, "there are white folks, and then there are ignorant motherfuckers like you," or some such, when I have a passenger along). Sorry Dude, but the opinions I express are purely those of the asshole behind the keyboard.

So to steal a line from the President, there are people who are interesting to talk to, and then...

Nice to see you back in the area, RML. Have fun.

Oh dear.
That isn't the cretinous twat who used to be in the Byrds and CSN&Y behind Waters, is it?

No, my esteemed friend from across the sea... that's Other person who used to play in CNSY with the cretinous twat that used to play in CNSY
I just threw it in here cause it wasn't worth a new thread and The Orangeman already took us that far off topic

Who the hell was in CSNY that was a bigger twat than Crosby? Not even Stills could manage that...

Thank you: I thought it was Waters, not Nash.
He's definitely wearing better than Crosby, isn't he?

Any self respecting Floyd fan will tell you that Roger wrote 99% of what was worthwhile, and that Gilmour has been replaced by far better guitarists. There was never any doubt "Which One's Pink".

Who was the Guy Roger had on the 04 Tour (That was I believe the first time he billed it with a complete DSOTM Set)? He also played with Clapton just before that. Anyway, I liked his work a lot.

Dave Kilminster has been lead since the 2004 tour. He's excellent though a little too faithful to Gilmour for me. Doyle Bramhall from the 2000 tour is my preference.

I think he's currently on his third liver. (Crosby, not your old man.)

I'm reminded of what some comedian (I forget who) said when it was learned that Melissa Etheridge's child was conceived from sperm she got from Crosby... "Where'd he get it from?"

I stand corrected about Dave... While he was the guy I was thinking of Doyle was the guy I saw with Clapton... Someone emailed me telling me an "authority' on the subject posted it was Frampton. But I knew you couldn't have pointed a gun at me and gotten ticket money out of me for that line-up.

That would make me a very lucky man. Indeed.

And sorry to burst your bubble, but I am neither white haired nor bald. In fact, if the genetic pattern holds, I will be struggling over my first few gray hairs sometime shortly after my 60th.
Thankfully, I got NONE of the irish genes and all of the dane ones when it comes to virility
