It would depend on what you are trying to make happen(IMO) that is why I asked if you were looking for a lasting affect. There are a wide range of personality tests, psychological tests, etc. that would tell you if a person had issues that would hinder them being able to take part in different things. The same way there are ways to test a persons health before doing something to them that might put them in harms way. If all you are going for is short time(like a stage show) than I don't think you would have to do any deep testing. But if you are talking longer term, over the course of hours, than I would want to be careful about who I allowed to take part and who I didn't. And I wouldn't trust that everyone would just tell me if they had issues or not. Most people lie even to doctors when they need help I don't think anything would stop them from lieing in an interview. But I am not a very trusting person so that may just be my personal take things.
