Yeah, didnt think you would put the effort into that.

Its ok.

[:D]

Sorry, Taz.  If you expected me to comb through your posts to try to find out your opinion, that isn't going to happen.  There are far too many.

Why not simply say it.  Do you believe he's guilty or not?

Lucylastic -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 2:26:24 PM)

a liar and accuser, who doesnt need the truth or facts to make her accusations stick
ooh wow that sounds familiar

tazzygirl -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 2:26:52 PM)

I have no clue if he is or not. I have actually stated the harassment isnt a huge issue for me. What IS the issue is his changing stories.

If Firm and I weren't heading out to go to dinner right now, I'd be curious as to what the heck you were talking about.  As it is, I'm just guessing it is more of your personal attacks and snark.

Last post before we go...

All I can say, Taz, is that I believe this impression you appear to have of "changing stories" has more to do with how the media reported events.  I could be wrong, of course, but I'm just not really aware of him having changed his story.  Would you care to explain why you think he has?  If so, when we return, I'll read it and let you know my opinion.

tazzygirl -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 2:37:11 PM)

What do you think "flip flop" means? Its all he has done.. and its what I am bitching about with him.

Tell ya what, Treasure... start here

And we can go from there.

You lied, you attempt to smear but dont know the facts now you run and say Im snarky, when you call me a liar, without proof, yeah, Im snarky BUT in this case its a pot calling a kettle grimy. (personal attacks and snark.)

tazzygirl -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 2:51:12 PM)

Oh hell, hun, I am snarky sometimes... we all are... even Treasure.

Lucylastic -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 2:54:15 PM)

so very true.

tazzygirl -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 3:07:36 PM)

Many would consider him guilty. Many would say hang him by his nut sack. To be honest, Cain has claimed to "misspeak" on so many occasions that I dont think I would ever believe anything he said. I would simply be waiting for his "self-correction"

Lucylastic -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 3:15:34 PM)

like this you mean??

Herman Cain denied on Friday that he had "fumbled" his reaction to the Politico report about women who alleged he had sexually harassed them, saying that the news outlet was trying to "bait" him into giving them more information.

"We were contacted by Politico, who was trying to bait us into saying something when they didn't identify the individuals," Cain said in an interview with Fox News' Neil Cavuto on Friday.

"And so as a businessman, it was my decision to my staff -- wait and see what they put out there," Cain continued. "That's like negotiating against yourself. They had no documentation. They hadn't identified who the women were, and we were supposed to respond? No. So we waited. Then when they put it out there and I went on TV that Monday basically recalling what i remember and, yes at the beginning of the day, I hadn't recalled as much as by the end of the day."

Cain said that the reason he did so many public appearances in the days immediately following the Politico story, first published on Oct. 31, was that he wanted his supporters to know he "had nothing to hide."

"Although I may have not precisely stated at the beginning of the day versus the end of the day, that last interview that I did with Greta [Van Susteren] basically laid out all of the facts, and that is when we clarified the difference between settlement and agreement, and a recollection of everything I could relative to that," he added, perhaps trying to account for the large number of inconsistencies present in his initial explanations of the allegations.

While speaking to Cavuto, however, he produced another inconsistency. After saying earlier this week that he was willing to take a lie detector test to prove his innocence but saw no immediate need to do so, Cain told Fox that he would only take a test if his accuser or accusers did so as well.

"When they take a lie detector test, I'll take a lie detector test!" he proclaimed.

tazzygirl -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 3:20:32 PM)

Yup.. just like that

Lucylastic -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 3:49:00 PM)

another timely and interesting article, ..whats the betting it doesnt pass muster as "accurate"

http://motherjones.com/mojo/2011/07/invisible-women-military-secret-gender-problem
http://awesome.good.is.s3.amazonaws.com/transparency/web/1106/women-of-war/flash.html

Yesterday, Mother Jones' Tumblr posted a link to a jarring GOOD magazine infographic with the title "Female soldiers more likely to be raped by their own troops than killed by enemy fire." The response was huge: 800 people reblogged the link in less than 24 hours. "No one can tell me that feminism has reached its goal and is now obsolete," wrote one reblogger.

Servicewomen face twice the rape rate as civilians.
Yet few Americans seem interested in the armed forces' gender issues. To the extent that military affairs get any attention from networks or big news sites lately, the headlines are dominated by debates over the defense budget. (We've reported our share of such stories, too.) Beyond that, the occasional story about Afghanistan, Iraq, or killer drones gets through. And beyond that, when journalists do cover social problems in the uniformed services, Don't Ask Don't Tell gets the lion's share of the attention.

Beneath the surface, gender conflicts are roiling the ranks, and few commentators are taking notice.

tazzygirl -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 3:50:43 PM)

Hmmm.. sorta blows up the other one, dont it.

tazzygirl -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 3:52:13 PM)

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/02/15/national/main20031948.shtml

(AP) WASHINGTON - More than a dozen U.S. veterans who say they were raped or assaulted by comrades filed a class-action suit in federal court Tuesday attempting to force the Pentagon to change how it handles such cases.
The current and former service members - 15 women and two men - describe circumstances in which servicemen allegedly got away with rape and other sexual abuse while their victims were ordered to continue to serve with them

Im sure "50%" are lying. [8|]

Actually, probably more than 50% because they did not go to the police, but to their superiors instead. I mean after all...

quote:

In one incident, an Army Reservist says two male colleagues raped her in Iraq and videotaped the attack. She complained to authorities after the men circulated the video to colleagues. Despite being bruised from her shoulders to elbows from being held down, she says charges weren't filed because the commander determined she "did not act like a rape victim" and "did not struggle enough" and authorities said they didn't want to delay the scheduled return of the alleged attackers to the United States.

She just didnt struggle enough.... so she is automatically lying.

Lucylastic -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 3:52:25 PM)

to most people you would think so

Charles P. McDowell, a researcher in the United States Air Force Special Studies Division, studied the 1,218 reports of rape that were made between 1980 and 1984 on Air Force bases throughout the world (McDowell, 1985). Of those, 460 were found to be "proven" allegations either because the "overwhelming preponderance of the evidence" strongly supported the allegation or because there was a conviction in the case. ....

The research was done between 1980 and 1984... the results written and reported in 1985

The Air Force? Where female cadets are raped at the academy with distressing frequency even today after the whole scandal broke?

tazzygirl -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 3:57:52 PM)

Yup, the same one... saying how 41% are false reports.

What was the name of that, Tailhook? Nope, Tailhook was Marines and Navy... But I guess half those women lied too.

slvemike4u -> RE: Cain Accusers' Press Conference ... (11/11/2011 4:25:01 PM)

Lol,yeah treasure Obama wrote a book...this is indeed a fact [:D]
As far as my "situation" is concerned, have no fear it is in no need of "help"
Please don't concern yourself with me getting the word out to his "supporters" and the media....in your position( being a very vocal supporter) your time would be better spent getting the word out to Cain that in order to actually run for President....one needs to actually pit together an actual organization...particularly in those states with early primaries....you know the ones you need to have a good showing in so as to keep the ball rolling [;)]
