I only post here sporadically, but I don't think this board is any more "biased" than other internet forums. Every forum develops its own culture. Some tend to be more harsh and abrasive than others. One thing that makes this forum slightly different from most other forums I've observed is that everybody's profile is linked to a personal ad of some sort. I often see references to "the other side" (meaning the personals side), and it seems that many regulars view the personals side as being a completely different site, for all practical purposes. However, a newbie coming to the site for the first time may not realize this at first. That's where (I've observed) some of the problems and possible biases come into play. Similarly, when one looks at the forum and sees "ask a mistress," "ask a submissive," etc., it might make one tend to think that this is something like a "Dear Abby" forum, expecting "Dear Abby" type answers. They might be expecting good old fashioned arm-around-the-shoulder sympathy for their plight (whatever it may be). But that expectation might be unrealistic for internet forums in general. I learned that early on when I first got connected to the internet in the mid-90s. I was thinking that "people are people, and there's no reason to expect that the people on the internet would be any different than the people I meet in real life." That was a huge misperception on my part, since I wrongly assumed that people would be just like the average person here in southern AZ. But when communicating with people from back east or large urban areas with different cultures and ways of expressing themselves, it can feel a bit strange. For example, others brought up how some are harsh, rude, or abrasive, while others view that as "just being honest." I find that when I travel to large cities, the people tend towards a more hardened attitude than one would find in smaller cities and towns. When I've traveled to the Northeast or the rust belt states, a lot of the people there tend to rub me the wrong way. I don't know why that is, but they just do. I understand and relate to the people of the Southwestern USA better. Apart from that, there are those who are more free-spirited and rebellious, then there are pranksters and jokers who just like to have fun, and then there are those who go around like they've got a cucumber stuck up their butt (this last group is to trolls what a red cape is to a bull). When all these different types of people get together on the same forum, it can be interesting at times. That's what keeps me coming back.
