Yes, with a mostly American member base, these boards are inordinately religious <and that overwhelmingly fringe Christian>, and there is a strong bias against those who are not.

I disagree, with the exception of Hanners, who generally avoids religious topics for just this reason, very few of the non believers are total assholes about it. However it doesn't work the other way around, remember Cheri's thread, and all the crap the Christians gave her? And you didn't see what was sent to her on the other side. Here's a sample:

One doesnt have to be a total asshole, heather. There are many on the boards who will jump the minute religion is mentioned.

And my experience is that most of those who will jump, are themselves religious.

I do want to point out, however, that my experience on the boards is very limited, both in time and scope, and that my perceptions may very well be skewed due to my particular history here.

"Cute".

I mean how can I pose as a ruthless cruel dom sort of person when ladies post "cute"? That's years of carefully crafted street cred gone in an instant.

Not really, evil witch. You could have expressed the wonders of my personality so much better. Go read Tfb's corset thread, you're mentioned there.

And my point is that the jumping is from both sides, hun. Not pointing the finger at any side alone.

Its the nature of the beast... and, in my opinion, something that will cause a fight faster than politics... but not as fast as sports.

I have found some posters to be very sexist.  I have noticed a bias against middle aged women.  Kind of like real life.

Now this is something I have not noticed to be honest. Not an over all bias.

Oh sure there are twits that are nothing more than static noise that occasionally sink to the sewer level of that type of slam when their poor little immature brains cannot manage anything intelligent. One vain young fella that is in love with himself comes to mind.

But over all, I've not seen it.

Too late; the damage is done; I'm a broken man.

I shall tidy my few worldly affairs and then announce - dramatically of course - that I'm leaving CM for ever. This will, as it always does, prompt all posters to re-assess their lives and wish they were better people.

Or hey - better still - I could say I'm leaving because there are too many fakes here! That'd be cool and original would shock people and I bet that would make all the fakes feel really bad and make all the Mods wish they'd done a better job.

Oh cool!

Either solution requires little to no effort on my part and keeps my slut rep intact!

Win Win!

There's a very strong anti-sex bias on CM.
Those who are sexually motivated in their BDSM are regularly belittled as "just a bottom".

Any attempt to actually discuss sex or relate things of a sexual nature are shouted down very quickly.

Good LORD!!!!!

If you start out a conversation with a woman about sex....you might as well buy a plane ticket to Siberia!

If that comes up within the first 3 conversations.....you might as well buy a plane ticket to Siberia!

(I, on the other hand....HAVE a condo in Siberia....so I'm not at all afraid to talk about......SEX!!!!!!)
