I know that we've talked about this in the past, but I'm feeling kind of "peeved" right now, so I thought I'd start a thread where we could share our BDSM or CollarMe pet peeves.

The one that got me started on this tirade is profiles/messages that use bad grammar and terrible spelling.  I know that sometimes these profiles/messages belong to Nigerian scammers or people for whom English is a second language.  I'm not talking about those folks.  I'm talking about the people who just can't write a profile, or send a message, that even comes close to proper grammar and spelling.  I just hate that.  Remember, the person that you're writing to, or the person that reads your profile doesn't know you.  So having typos, and poor grammar in your profile/message makes you look like an idiot.  And "Text speak" is even worse!  Remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Another one of my pet peeves is people who flake out on a 1st meeting.  If we've talked on the phone and agreed to meet in person, then SHOW UP!  I'll never understand why people do this.  The least they could do is call and say that they can't make it (or more accurately, that they got scared).  At least that would prevent the other person from making a trip and wasting their time.  This happened to me last week, and unfortunately it's not the first time it's happened to me.

Okay, that's enough from me.  Anyone else got any CollarMe or BDSM pet peeves that you'd like to share?

Oops!  Sorry myotherself.  I edited my OP to include people who use text speak, and when I came back to see if the change had been made, I see that you already mentioned text speak. 

I guess great minds think alike.  [;)]

failure to read and comprehend a profile!!! GAH!!

emails (from a total stranger) starting with any variation of 'little one', 'pet', etc

emails that are one word, or a single line that don't offer anything to respond to

Yeah, this is one of my pet peeves.  I just hate it when someone sends me a message that says "Hi."  That's their entire message.  Just that one word. 

Ummmmmm, don't they have anything else that they'd like to say besides "Hi"?  If that's the way they choose to start a conversation, then I'm pretty sure that I don't want to talk to them.  Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Oh, and another one of my pet peeves is the fact that CollarMe doesn't allow me to edit my posts after 10 minutes has elapsed (or whatever the time limit is).  Why can't I edit my posts any time I want to?  Why is there a time limit for edits?  I hate that!

I hate it when those social retards use that one line as the start of a conversation that YOU are supposed to direct!

I've lost count of the number of guys who have sent a one line mail. I've replied 'thanks' or something equally non-committal.
Then THEY ask YOU what you want to talk about!

I mean, if you don't know what you want to say, why the FECK do you message someone in the first place?! And usually their profiles are as abundant as a nun's sexual contact list, so there's no place to start.

And THEN they message you to call you names because you won't talk to them!!!

I've never really taken online stuff very seriously so none of it ever bothered me enough to label it a pet peeve.

People not showing up never really bothered me either because if they didn't show up I just always made sure we met someplace I would enjoy with or without them. I'd shrug, order myself something to eat, a coffee, a nice walk around town, read my book I brought with me, whatever.

All of the above. I am so happy I am not dating anymore, I got so tired of dealing with rude idiots. On the bright side, if they don't show up for the first date, at least you know that they are not someone you are interested in, without having to waste time talking to them.
