I was going to say before that I haven't ever really seen an anti-christian bias on here. I must have missed those threads.

I've seen enough here. *is a follower of Christ but tries to be open to all ideas*

Fair enough. I'm not arguing the point, just curious. Several people have said so, I'm sure it'll stand out to me more now that I'm aware of it.

Rochsub2009 -> RE: ideas for leftist humiliation (11/21/2011 5:51:59 PM)

Okay, where the heck is the OP?

I've been taking a lot of heat for making suggestions to help him with his kink, as well as defending his kink (even though I don't particularly agree with him), and as far as I can tell, he hasn't revisited his own thread since page 1.  I hate when people do that.

Can anyone think of any other types of things I can do to further the humiliation?

First, have her find a new Owner... one with a brain.  Second, have her wear a picture of you around her neck, identifying you as her former Owner -- that'd truly be humiliating. [8|]

anniezz338 -> RE: ideas for leftist humiliation (11/21/2011 6:23:39 PM)

Maybe he went to church, Roch.

As an agnostic with a pastor for a father and mom the sunday school teacher, there is lots of just smiling and nodding on my part when things get a little dicey. My thoughts thru this whole thread has been, WTF? I've seen so called christians gossip, lie, cheat, steal....the list is endless. What makes having a religion untouchable thru any means, yes, even kink? Not seeing the difference between the man going to church every sunday with his family while boinking his secretary all week. Maybe we should run this by one of those sick catholic priests?

My only thought when i read the OP was what a weak imagination.

In all fairness to Hannah Lynn, it is not just Christians she holds those views about, it is any and all religious beliefs she has an objection to, including mine.

The only person whose religious beliefs she seems to tolerate are those of AneNoz, and I have no idea why that is, I never thought to ask her as it isn't really my business.

LadyPact -> RE: ideas for leftist humiliation (11/21/2011 6:48:24 PM)

The finer art of humiliation is to invoke the person to feel humiliated while those who are not a part of the scene are oblivious.  Of course, if you're really good at it, the person you are attempting to humiliate will think that everybody knows what it is the person is embarrassed about, but the reality is that the by-standers don't have a clue.

This being a question that is specifically about other people's beliefs shouldn't change that.  It's the difference between ordering someone to buy a cucumber, ky jelly, and a box of condoms, rather than tell the cashier when it's time to pay that the purchase is being made so that the person can rush home and fuck themselves with the items.  Sure, that might be what the cashier is thinking.  The subject sure believes that is what the cashier is thinking.  Yet, the cashier isn't necessarily drawn into the kink because it isn't verbalized by the subject.

For humiliation purposes, lots of Dommes have their male submissives wear diapers.  Something that others have a medical need for, so that happens all of the time.  In a vanilla setting, how many folks have walked up to you and told you that they were wearing them?

The t-shirt idea is great.  Growing your own garden of Eden?  Not so much.  You're involving the priest without his consent.  Get a friend to play the priest who is in on the idea?  That's a thought.  Approaching others in public to ask if they have been saved?  Probably not.  You have no idea of how the person who is being approached is going to react.  Look how many folks on this thread said they wouldn't appreciate that from someone and think of the reaction they might get.

Playing with humiliation can be fun.  Just not at the expense of someone who didn't really agree to play the game with you.

TNstepsout -> RE: ideas for christian humiliation (11/21/2011 7:02:09 PM)

I'm a little late coming into this thread, but I'm not sure what you are doing is really humiliation. I am also non-christian, non-religious and I don't think I would feel humiliated by wearing a cross I would probably just feel irritated.  If she' adamantly anti-religious and feels strongly that religion is harmful and damaging, making her do things that are against her most fundamental beliefs is not humiliating, it's disrespectful.  It would be like making someone who is a vegetarian PETA activist eat meat and wear a fur coat.

I'm not sure that religious beliefs work well with humiliation unless the person has some deep seated issues with sex and sexuality as a result of his/her ingrained religious beliefs.  So it works better for someone who is religious or has had a religious upbringing. For someone who is non-religious I'm not so sure.

I think over all we really are on the same page. After all we are talking about, per the OP, relationship stuff..........not legal.

Given a lot of the stuff I see written on here, I am pretty conservative in my limits of what is acceptable to ME for ME. Many things I read, totally hit my, "Oh hell NO!!!" button. I try to keep my opinions to myself because.....it's just about my opinion. What is right or wrong to ME. I really try to avoid blanketing everyone else with MY version of right and wrong.

Whether forcing kink/sex/race play/religious whatever-the-hell-the-OP-wanted-to-call-it, on non consenting bystanders is right or wrong to ME, is irrelevant. Unless of course, doing so is also illegal. And that is where I would tend to take action. Especially if there was going to be harm involved.

The reality of this and most of what we all like to do is that it's all a gray area. Most of what we, here, consider mild fun.......the non BDSM population might freak out about, feel it is immoral, and that they, the community, should intervene.

I mean seriously, there really is no hard fast, black and white, guide to where to draw the line.

I think that the only thing we can do is follow our own moral compass and do the best we can to be fair. Without attempting to remove anyone's legal rights. That stuff we silly U.S. citizens seem to think are so precious.

As for the burkha......not a big deal in Iowa City.

I agree we aren't far apart on this issue. However, while there is a lot of gray area, I also think there are areas where there is (or should be) a hard, fast, black and white, line in the sand.

The point is that around here, people can openly talk about being a Pagan, Agnostic, or Atheist, and that's fine. Mention you are Christian and you will be called mentally ill, stupid and any other number of offensive things. Mind you I didn't say "preaching your Christian beliefs," just mentioning what you belief. Not everyone does it, but more than enough.

I haven't noticed this from anyone other than Hannah.

I have. Granted, Hannah and her cult tend to be more along the "mentally ill" comments, but there are quite a few others that regularly state it is a lack of intelligence and knowledge. There are several Christians here, lots of them "old timers" like me and not once has one of them ever "preached" our beliefs to others and beyond mentioning that we are Christian, never try to demean those who aren't. And it is specifically Christian beliefs, and specified as such.

But there are many others that while they don't share the same beliefs, don't feel a need to demean others. NiceButMeanGirl (honey, if you don't stop changing your name, I'm just going to use your given one! Love ya though, sweets, lol.) is one, as is lizi. NBMG and I have chatted for a few years now. We obviously have different beliefs but I don't demean hers, she doesn't demean mine.

I think it is the constant (false) presentation that Christians are running around trying to convert everyone. With the OP, he is using religion because it is something his partner feels strongly against. Now as one of those Christian people that one would think is trying to help everyone find Jesus, I find that behavior appalling. Of course, I also find it ridiculous that he thinks in his little 23 year old mind that making her wear a cross is "humiliating," but it also says quite a bit about him and HIS prejudices and ignorances.

And was there somewhere here where anyone stated or even implied that Christians don't do anything wrong?

But you are a good, if more subtle example of what I'm talking about. Using the term "so called." Does your parents attachment in the church give you the right to be judge and jury? Doubt it. Would it be fair of me to say that people who come from backgrounds like yours abandon the faith they were raised in due to something going wrong in their childhood, and then their comments are always an example of the unresolved anger issues that they have?

I'm sure you would find that to be a bit of stereotyping. Be an agnostic all you want. I don't care to make you believe anything. However, do try to show some respect for others. We aren't your parents, you aren't mad at us.

The point was that the suggestions involved other people, not just the couple.

The reason that belief might exist is because it is shown very often, even on this site, to be true. And when you decline to be "saved" they get quite rude and nasty. I have personal experience of this.

How would YOU recommend they exercise that kink without exposing anyone else to it?  I don't think his slave would feel humiliated if she just had to do it in front of him.  And obviously, humiliation is their kink.  See the problem?

Damn. That's a really good point.

Which is why I think that it is not right once you enter someone else's personal space or involve them. Do what you like, and believe what you like in your own life, but I feel there is no right to carry through with your own personal beliefs whatever they may be, and actively involve another human being. There is a huge gray area here with showing support for something you believe in, or trespassing onto another person's territory. I believe that we all have rights to choose what will be within our own personal boundaries.
