I wasn't raised that way....this only happened in the last 15 years or so...not the upbringing. And i know a ton of amazing christians that i will always admire...but are they somehow above me because they are christian? Of course not. And the congregation is not perfect.

But that is another thread. I feel religion is not a get out of jail card free with kinks or any thing else for that matter. Chrisitians come to this site, they live kink lifestyle. It's a fact, not anger issues or parent issues.

There are lots of things that can be done without directly involving others. Is only certain kinks acceptable in the religious community?

MissImmortalPain -> RE: ideas for christian humiliation (11/21/2011 8:17:05 PM)

I'm very late to this thread but I would like to say something....I have done this before. I knew a very strong atheist that often mocked others faith(s) When I told him that he would face things he was not used to he said "fine" I too made him wear a cross but told him that everytime he saw another of his friends he was to go out of his way(meaning make it obvious) that he was hiding it. He tucked in under his shirt or pulled his jacket over it, really anything he could do to cover it. As far as I know none of them ever knew what he covered up so quickly but it took him less than a week to see the point I was making. That his mocking was no better or worse than anything they believed to begin with. He is still an atheist which is great because I in no way wanted to change what he really believed.....I just wanted him to see what it was like to some on the other side. He told me he was humiliated many times by the idea that he had to hide something and that he learned something as well.

*I really wish the op would come back and give more information*

ETA- and before anyone asks if what I did was a "kink" it didn't really start out that way but I did get a tickle out of hitting someone in the face with reality....actually that might my favorite kink.

Maybe he went to church, Roch.

As an agnostic with a pastor for a father and mom the sunday school teacher, there is lots of just smiling and nodding on my part when things get a little dicey. My thoughts thru this whole thread has been, WTF? I've seen so called christians gossip, lie, cheat, steal....the list is endless. What makes having a religion untouchable thru any means, yes, even kink? Not seeing the difference between the man going to church every sunday with his family while boinking his secretary all week. Maybe we should run this by one of those sick catholic priests?

My only thought when i read the OP was what a weak imagination.

Sure, people treat their 'values' poorly sometimes, maybe then they aren't true values but things that they think they're supposed to do to look good to others. I don't really care, there are some things in life that matter a whole lot to large groups of people - I don't feel good about trespassing on those things and making fun of them.

I don't think religion as a subject is untouchable, whoever wants to touch it go right ahead. I just don't feel good about denigrating it in my own life, because the love that many people have for it touches me in some way. I don't feel good about trivializing that power that it has for some others. It seems to then trivialize my fellow inhabitants in this world if I look down upon what is valued to them, and I'm not better than they are or above them at all because I don't share in what they find precious.

My son had a blanket when he was young that had great powers of protection. I didn't believe in that blanket, but he did and that was enough for me. It still has a position of great importance in his life and to this day 21 years later sits folded up on his bed. I'd never use that blanket to wipe up a spill or to swat a bug, it would crush him and therefore me -because I care about how he feels. It's him that is the point, not the blanket.

How would YOU recommend they exercise that kink without exposing anyone else to it?  I don't think his slave would feel humiliated if she just had to do it in front of him.  And obviously, humiliation is their kink.  See the problem?

Damn. That's a really good point.

There are lots of kinks that deal with others. Yet, I have never once seen anyone state its perfectly fine to involve others without consent.

I see that as a bigger problem than people wanting to get their kink on.

Form a group... get a party going... go to a BDSM club... there are many ways besides involving others non-consensually.

The issue is consent.

Do you think asking a sub to carry a big bible around, so that other people will see it, violates that idea?

And religion was born. Man needs to feel that there is something out there that will help them make sense of the world, of himself, to have purpose, hope and of course faith. Like the Twelve step programs....you take out the word alcoholic, narcotics, shopaholic and all the other holics....it's just a good way to live.

The tone of the thread seemed to start pointing to religion being somehow not a viable kink arena. I disagreed.

tazzygirl -> RE: ideas for leftist humiliation (11/21/2011 8:45:56 PM)

Not at all. Nor do I view giving out bibles as a consent issue either. Stopping people to discuss the bible... grey area. Mocking people, regardless of their professions/beliefs... huge issue. The difference, again, is consent. no consent is needed from others to carry a bible. No consent is needed from others to give away a bible (to adults, that is). Talking about the bible as if you are a believer with others who are believers is mocking those who do believe... eventually you will slip up and the people you are speaking too will feel foolish, or may even resort to anger. Pulling others into your "role play" (which is what this is) would definitely be am issue.

I have a girlfriend who has assumed a submissive role in our relationship.  She is against religion yet I have gotten her to wear a cross for me at all times.  She hides it around people we know but I make her wear it in public when we don't think we will run into anyone.  Can anyone think of any other types of things I can do to further the humiliation?

Why would you want to humiliate someone regards their religion?

slaverachel2Him -> RE: ideas for christian humiliation (11/21/2011 9:08:22 PM)

No! not a convent- she'll love it there. The cell, the flagellation, the humiliation ---

HeatherMcLeather -> RE: ideas for leftist humiliation (11/21/2011 9:09:28 PM)

I don't think there is anything wrong with using religion as a humiliation tool in and of itself. I have a hard time seeing how it would be humiliating though

SuzeQ -> RE: ideas for christian humiliation (11/21/2011 9:14:07 PM)

A country preacher decided to skip services one Sunday and head to the hills to do some bear hunting. As he rounded the corner on a perilous twist in the trail, he and a bear collided, sending him and his rifle tumbling down the mountainside. Before he knew it, his rifle went one way and he went the other, landing on a rock and breaking both legs.

That was the good news. The bad news was the ferocious bear charging at him from a
distance, and he couldn't move.

The preacher started praying: "Oh, Lord, I'm so sorry for skipping services today to come out here and hunt. Please forgive me and grant me just one wish...please make a Christian out of that bear that's coming at me. Please, Lord!"

That very instant, the bear skidded to a halt, fell to its knees, clasped its paws together and began to pray aloud right at the preacher's feet.

"Dear God, bless this food I am about to receive...."

Then we agree. All i'm saying is a number of the suggestions (not all!) that were made to the OP could be implemented without imposing on anyone.

Actually the whole point is that the suggestions DO involve other people. If you read the thread, you will see that while most find it distasteful to engage in that kind of thing, we support a person's right to do it, IN PRIVATE.

In other words, essentially ANY kink that involves others through interaction with strangers in public is wrong. It just so happens that this particular humiliation thing involves religion and public places. Caught up now?

Not one person has indicated that being Christian puts them above others. Those are your words, your views.

anniezz338 -> RE: ideas for leftist humiliation (11/21/2011 9:37:50 PM)

Yep, all caught up now. Religion is a viable kink arena as long as it does not involve interactions with stangers in public.

This summarizes it quite well.

Pam, the suggestions that were not involving anyone, i.e. a WWJD T-shirt, wearing a cross, carrying a bible are really, in my opinion, just stupid and not likely to cause humiliation, but to each his own.

Suggesting however, that she pick ten people at random to ask them if they have been saved? Not cool. Approaching a priest for holy water so you can grow your own garden of Eden? Really uncool.

Basically all things where she needs to speak with other people about something that has that religious undertone to it (Praise Jesus, have you been saved, etc.) is involving other people. As littlewonder pointed out, what are his plans if he keeps pushing this and she DOES convert? Then what? Do it in reverse and have her preach atheism? Now of course, if she could convert either way, she doesn't have very strong convictions anyway, but that isn't the point.

Yes. If people want to play Linda Blair with a crucifix, I only suggest they try to do so in a safe manner so as to avoid physical injury.

In my mind, making her wear something in public like a "Hannah Montana" t-shirt with pink ribbons in her hair would be way more humiliating. Seriously, most people hardly bat an eyelash at the sight of somebody wearing a cross around their neck. lol
