On the contrary, it has been my experience that most who claim to be a "sadist" only do so because it's a big fucking buzzword out here.  Drop a label like that and one gets loads of attention.  Sadist to them means they spank, pull hair, slap a cheek and then give a 'firm but fair' fuck! LOL

Bait and switch?
Shock and awe?
A terrible sense of humor? :p

I seem to vaguely recall this aphorism regarding spiders and flies....

E2A-That crazy Kana-Giving CM "firm but fair" fucks since 2003 :-)

You seem to have done well enough with your spiked weights and hammers. :p

Sheesh. Ya nail one girls tongue to a whipping post and they never let ya live it down...

(The weighted and spiked nipple clamps were purely incidental)

Maybe this topic should be in a different thread but since it is brought up and has peeked my curiousity.... I do wonder why one would want to be labelled a Sadist if they are not? Do you mean in the terms of getting attention from everyone and no real interest in meeting a woman for RT? The reason i say that is because i really do wonder if a Dom would be more likely to get a woman by stating he is a Daddy Dom over stating he is a Sadist? A Sadist i would believe would not get any new women coming to the forums and also i wonder even how many women even if in the lifestyle easily just accepts a man at the mention that he is a Sadist. i know there are lots of women on here that say they have no limits too but over all are they really seeking out the Sadists or mean no limits to a Daddy Dom type? Overall my point is who really gets more attention from the subs a Sadist or a Daddy figure?

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Subs and boredom. (12/2/2011 2:36:31 PM)

There was a really complicated topic here not long ago, about "sensual" Doms, and the opinions of them were generally negative -- actually, lemme see if'n I can find it...

Here you go -- Sensual Dom

I think new/unsure/insecure Doms feel a need to identify with being "hard" and sadistic and all that, in order to play to an image that they think is more appealing.
Like in that thread, most people felt that "sensual" meant weak, and a lot of new guys are afraid to be associated with weakness. They want to be whatever they think the chicks want, instead of establishing their brand and owning it, whatever it may be.

"Sadist" really is a buzzword sometimes. Some people seem to feel that it confers instant badassery to them, and that's not necessarily true. Plus, one person's idea of "Sadist" might be someone else's idea of "wimp," which might be someone else's idea of "psychotic bastard." So... it's all relative...

Oh P.S. -- as far as who gets more attention, that depends, too --

Some people prefer "softer" Doms, guys who are more lax on rules, or don't have many at all, blah blah blah
While others want structure, balance, defined lines, etc.

I may be an lg, but I don't want a Daddy. I want a Master who can drag whatever he wants out of me, full stop. :p

My personal experience with DD/bg couples is that there's either a lot of bratting, or just not a lot of what I personally think of as "dominance." -- that's just my opinion, so nobody blow a gasket...

NewOCDaddy -> RE: Subs and boredom. (12/2/2011 2:51:36 PM)

There are varieties of Daddy/Doms and Daddy/lg relationships just as in any other classification. I don't tolerate brattiness or other forms of testing, and there are some DDs who's practices (but not the motivation for them) would be viewed as sadistic.

Clickofheels -> RE: Subs and boredom. (12/2/2011 3:02:44 PM)

Three things....

First, After reading his profile, I am wondering if "ilearn" is either a used car salesman or does infomercials in his vanilla life! <snickering>

Second, I am NEVER bored...NEVER! So I would not own a submissive who was ever "bored."

and Third, YOU are responsible for your own happiness!! <smiles>

Respectfully,
Clickofheels
