King did a lecture with a Q & A session from the Kennedy Library recently on NPR. If it's still on their website, it's worth listening too. Large chunks of it was about this book, but it didn't really give away too much.

The last King book I read was Under the Dome.  It was a good book.  Not anywhere close to my favorite, but good all the same.

My all time favorite King book was The Stand.  LOVED it.  Loved the tv series movie of The Stand too.
I don't typically like movies based off of Stephen King's novels, because what makes his books so great
is how well he describes what is going on in the minds of the characters.  That just doesn't translate well in the movies.
I'm always disappointed.  That wasn't the case with The Stand. Probably because you had like 6 hours of movie instead
of 2, and more time was allowed for attention to detail.  I really fell in love with the characters in that book.

While I love his books, King is a complete rat bastard for ruining clowns for me.  I read the book when I was working
nights at an oil refinery, and walking home after work - I'd give the sewer grates a WIDE berth.  I knew it was fiction, but
still - that book was phobia inspiring.

Thanks for the heads up about 11/22/63.  I might buy the book for my son for Christmas, that way I can kill two birds with one stone (so to speak) and speaking of birds; The Darkhalf (think that was the title) was a good book too.
