Anyone who thinks Tebow was the reason the Broncos lost that game obviously doesn't understand anything about football or sports in general.

That game illustrated just how many deficiencies this Denver team had and shows how amazing it is that they got as far as they did. Remember that this was the team that had the second pick in the draft last year and began the year looking like they'd be in the hunt for the #1 pick. Instead they made it to the second round of the playoffs.

Now Tebow gets an entire off-season to progress and work with his receivers. Something a lot of people overlook (because most of you don't actually know anything about the ins and outs of the game) is that until he was named the starter before the Dolphins game, he barely got any work with the first team offense. An entire off-season to build chemistry and hopefully add some necessary pieces will do wonders.

Haters can hate all they want. The Broncos should have been in the bottom barrel of the league and instead made it into the second round of the playoffs. They wouldn't have done that with Kyle Orton. Tim Tebow is obviously an NFL quality QB and people who say otherwise are still clinging to bullshit even his most ardent detractors have dropped.

Tebow was almost the sole reason the game was as badly out of hand as it was. The Denver offence was completely unable to put together sustained drives in the first half which meant NE kept getting the ball which meant Denver's defence was on the field far too long which both tired them out but also kept their coaches from making vital adjustments to their schemes (notice how they never adjusted to Hernandez out of the RB slot).

When the network announcers started discussing the poor quality of Tebow's spiral they were basically saying "This guy has no business on the field."

A full offseason might help assuming that he is so stupid he couldn't read the playbook without help or that a man in his 20's who has played QB most of his life can be coached into a tighter spiral.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: TEBOW! (1/17/2012 5:33:48 PM)

So how'd he get there?

So your contention is that anyone who puts their hands under a centers ass is,in fact,an NFL qb...irregardless of his lack of talent.[:)]

My contention is that Tim Tebow has been for two seasons and is in fact, an NFL Quarterback.

And my contention is that,despite actually playing the position,he is not,in terms of talent,an NFL quarterback.I do not,for a moment,believe I was unclear about that...despite your attempt at cuteness/snark

FatDomDaddy -> RE: TEBOW! (1/17/2012 8:18:24 PM)

In the terms of reality, without having to qualify my statement or dance around with semantics, Tim Tebow is an NFL quarterback.

In high school and college he was one of the, if not the, best athletes on the team. Which is pretty much how every option QB that gets moved over to WR, RB or some other position in the pros got there.

And this weekend showed pretty conclusively that he has no business in that position.

LaTigresse -> RE: TEBOW! (1/18/2012 4:42:20 AM)

I wonder what year he will decide to run for public office...

slvemike4u -> RE: TEBOW! (1/18/2012 9:01:25 AM)

As,of course,a Republican.On a platform of family"values"....no hypocrisy ,which is more than we can say about past family "values" politicians....lol.

Did you watch the game? Did you see the porous offensive line? Did you see that not only was there one person penetrating immediately every play, but multiple people.

Put any QB on Denver's team and they would have lost that game. Aaron Rodgers couldn't even have salvaged that. To say otherwise is lunacy.

Every QB in the NFL has to deal wth blitzes and poor OL play. Tebow simply made bad decisions and bad throws that ended all those first half drives. He sticks with the primary receiver far too long and he looks right at the area of the field he intends to throw to. He has beyond poor awareness of the pocket.

NE won that game by implementing their game plan correctly on offence and playing correctly against the option. They showed that even the very worst defences in the league can contain the option if they try. Tebow made it worse for Denver by failing utterly as a QB.

Tebow would be so honored that this thread is on page 15. I see penises!

slvemike4u -> RE: TEBOW! (1/23/2012 10:38:02 AM)

Tebow trade rumors are poppng up.Elway would love to have this "issue" removed from his plate .

LaTigresse -> RE: TEBOW! (1/23/2012 11:07:24 AM)

I immediately wanted to wisecrack......maybe the 'Saints' will take him!

But I think he should go to the Cowboys.......just cuz I have a lifetime dislike of the Cowboys.

slvemike4u -> RE: TEBOW! (1/23/2012 11:18:20 AM)

The rumor that ESPN is passing on seems to do with a homecoming of sorts...Tebow to Jacksonville.This is a stretch,it seems to be nothing more than a publicists wet dream,from a marketing standpoint it makes sense...Tebow is,rightly so big news in Florida,but there appears to be nothing more than speculation here about what the new ownership in Jacksonville will do with that 7th pick in the upcoming draft.

LaTigresse -> RE: TEBOW! (1/23/2012 11:21:29 AM)

I am sure he would be embraced like the prodigal son.

slvemike4u -> RE: TEBOW! (1/23/2012 2:30:56 PM)

Most definitely LaTige,shortly thereafter the good folks in Jacksonville will come to realize that the Jaguars play in the NFL,where the players are bigger and faster(couldn't resist....lol)rather than the SEC and would start howling for an ACTUAL quarterback.
