Those with the ability to pay should have the right to higher standards of medical care. I don't know how they scored this, but I put agree because I believe that in countries with public health care, there should always be the option to purchase private health care as well. But someone who was fully against public health care would also put 'agree' so where would the difference be? Not silly at all. I guarantee you there are people on this board who would say no, everybody has the right to the same standards of medical care regardless of ability to pay. So the people who don't have the ability to pay should just crawl away and die somewhere? I considered my experience with healthcare through the Veteran's Administration. In Florida, there was a 6 months wait for the acupuncturist. Not wanting to wait that long, I saw one privately and paid for her myself. I could have managed the pain via medication, but I prefer acupuncture. If the GYN up here in MA is as horrid as the one in FL, I'm going to see one outside the VA system. The VA is adequate - I want higher.
