I'm center green. I basically believe government should do a minimal amount to protect general welfare and prevent entities(corporations/unions/lobbyists/etc) from having too much power and otherwise stay the hell out of everyone's way.

Guess I’m a closet libtard. Seems economically I’m moderately left-wing but socially centrist according to the political compass being -3.38 on the Economic Left/Right scale and -0.77 on the Social Libertarian/Authoritarian scale. I reckon I would be more centrist if the scale was Eurocentric. Good test Willbe with interesting questions but some of the questions seem a little black and white.

Sorry...I couldn't get past the first slanted question...If I sell goods internationally and perhaps produce products in multiple nations how am I not serving mankind? I am providing goods and employment what the hell else do you want... So the ratings are bull and not worth taking.

A couple of squares closer to the purple
than I would have thought or guessed.
I think of myself as basically and
economically a New Deal Democrat
(big D Democrat).
On social issues I'm against the death
penalty in all cases, pro gay marriage
and adoption, pro choice and believe in
universal health care and health care as
a basic human right.
Some of the questions cannot in my
opinion be answered as agree or disagree.
I don't know should be option.
Along with "In theory yes", "In some
cases" and "What the hell does that
have to do with anything?"

Ok..at first I thought, and still think, the questions are stated in an obvious liberal sided context...But...I have noticed that despite the poor wording the results seem to match the people taking the test...sooo I worked through it and found it does match my overall feelings...I think... So I was wrong again I guess.

I'd expect to be a right leaning libertarian, same as every other time I' ve taken the thing. Unfortunately, it has no bearing in the realpoltik world where we cast our votes

I considered my experience with healthcare through the Veteran's Administration.

In Florida, there was a 6 months wait for the acupuncturist. Not wanting to wait that long, I saw one privately and paid for her myself. I could have managed the pain via medication, but I prefer acupuncture.

If the GYN up here in MA is as horrid as the one in FL, I'm going to see one outside the VA system.

The VA is adequate - I want higher.

I have had limited success in upoloading images but I'll give it another try.

Anyway, I do have issue with some of the questions. For example the question about one party systems being more efficient. I agree that they tend to get things done more qucikly... but that doesn't mean I agree that that is a good thing. So I think I should probably be a little lower on the authortarian scale.

ETA: Actually I think I should be a lot lower in on the authortarian scale. I am a very anti-authortarian fella... except when I'm the authority, then I'm all like "KNEEL BITCH, OR FEEL THE WRATH OF MY WHIP!"

ETA: I should probably be a little further left on the economic scale. I don't have a problem with common sense regulation of business (eg thou shalt not build thy toxic waste dump next to the elementary school) but a lot of what passes for regulation is really nothing more than political favortism in disguise.
