OK, seriously.. I'm here for a couple of reasons. The BDSM elist I was on for several years went defunct when the list owner decided to retire after a 4th or 5th loss of the group from Yahoo and it just wasn't the same when she left.

Himself found this site and told me about it.. he knows how much I like to discuss/debate/educate/learn regarding all things BDSM related, so suggested I join collarme.

I already knew several people r/t that are also here.. ::and have played with some of them.. :: and have met several more since joining so it's been a very good experience for me. I get some target practice in to hone my skills in dealing with HNG's and that is always worthwhile , I get to read perspectives which are different from my own, so I've expanded beyond my own little world on several occasions and I get to tell some others how I live my life as an M/s slave and an S/m switch as well as, with some luck, bring a little hope to people that long term M/s relationships ARE possible and not a myth. I think I can offer both sense as well as some nonsense on occasion.. and generally have a pretty good attitude about life in general. ::no ego problems here!::

If those weren't reasons enough to stick around.. I get to play 'hide the cheese' from Level.

Status: offline 		For the people. Seeing interactions on the boards…the way personalities come out with time. It is also interesting to hear about other relationships and experiences. Groups we find value in have certain effects on us. I value this group.

There have even been a few posts that have brought tears to my eyes. At the moment i am avoiding the mess in my apartment. Have I mentioned how much I hate packing?   ok sorry..

Status: offline 		I joined Collar Me because my area does not offer much in the way of groups to meet others with like minds, and I was hoping to learn more about FemDom relationships, get to know others who share my interests, and to eventually find the submissive I would want to have in my life forever.

I think Collar Me is a great site for sharing information, even if you often have to weed through a bunch of B.S. to get to the actual information. As with anywhere online, there are a lot of bitter, immature people who thrive on negativity, and can easily hide online and fulfill their need to hate.  I have met some great people here, both Dominant and submissive, and think I have gained a lot of knowledge, whether I agree with all I have learned or not.

As far as the forums go... I post when a topic or posts compels me.  Usually, I post about something I feel passionately about, where I think I have a thoughtful voice on the matter.  Unless I have a question, I don't post on topics where I have no experience, interest, or passion, as I have no point of view to share on that subject other then... duh.  Some people like what I have to say, some disagree with me all the time.... some think I am an opinionated bitch, others like that about me <smiles>.

Status: offline 		I'm here because My sub, whom I adore, is not 24/7 and will never be a sub with any remote potential for a 24/7 relationship.

I'm hoping that somewhere out there is the sub male who longs to serve just the sort of twisted Domme that I am.

I'm also here because I realize that one is never too old to learn something new.  I learn abount new activities, techniques, lexicon, toys, tips, ideas, you name it, I'll learn it here on these boards.

I try to offer something positive to the OP with every post, but like most of us I occasionally get put out with someone here or there and can't resist telling them so.  I try not to flame but egads sometimes a body needs a firm reminder that they're being just plain ugly!  Mea culpa.

Finally, I'm on the boards because of that penchant we all share for reading and writing.  Thank goodness there are so many talented others here who've been bitten by that BDSM Blogging bug, too!

Ummm.... yeah. I smoked that same stuff once and had a similar experience.

Status: offline 		I define my sexual orientation as submissive, and out of need, i searched out the BDSM community to better understand it.   I feel like i was wired this way from the beginning, and approaching my parents with the question "Why am i turned on by serving dominant women?" didn't seem to be part of a textbook teenage childhood.

Initially, the tolerance and understanding of this community was something i took great solace in.  Although ironically, sometimes it's this same community that tells me i should agree only with their definition of what BDSM should be.

Overall, i'm here looking for compatibility.  A person who's sexuality compliments my own, and i can fall in love with.

Why am I here?  I joined Cm because I live in a very rural part of South Central Colorado where there are no munches or clubs for at least an hours distance…more like two.  I figure joining such sites ‘puts me out there’ where, if I ignore the crap and wade through the nonsense, I may just find another friend and perhaps that friendship might develop into the more intimate one I hope someday to find.

Why do I ‘play’ here on the boards?  I’m here mostly to learn, to expose myself to things that make me think…and to meet people.  Because I work in a small store, alone, and have more time on my hands than is probably healthy, I find this place entertaining, as well.

That I get to read posts from folks like those here from Cerckl, Celeste, and Proprietrix (and many, many others) never ceases to amaze me with how powerful words are and how eloquent people can be. 

Yup, I learn a lot.

Status: offline 		 I want to thank all who read my rant...and I especially appreciate those who ignored the rant part and just focused on why they were here interacting with each other.

Personally, I have found acceptance, especially when I had the bad etiquette of exposing too much; thought-provoking discussions;  information; laughter  and sometimes the 'what the hell was that' reaction when someone comes off with a slashing, generalized attack with their first post...

I have also had the opportunity to see and learn about a diverse amount of interests, view points, et al. which has hopefully expanded my own understanding...
