You have been here for over 3 years and you have just noticed that there are pro dommes on this site? Damn and people say I don't pay attention[8|]

It's ok though. You don't have to get all worked up about it. If you don't want to pay, then find someone who will play with you for free. It's not that hard.

This isn't about pro dommes, it is about scammers.

Jump over to the red profiles and you will easily see what I mean.

Remember back when I pointed out the first ten dommes were asking for tribute? Search through the first ten male doms seeking women. They ALL ask for relationships or sex! NONE OF THEM ask for tribute!!! GEE WONDER why THAT could be? I'm just pointing out that the female dommes seem to be able operate according to their own rules while the rest of us seem willing to follow board rules. IF asking for tribute isn't allowed than it should be enforced equally but that doesn't seem to be the case does it?
I don't like "stirring shit", all I'm doing is pointing out the uneveness of the board. If one group is going to be allowed to go rogue then maybe this should be turned into a female domination board because that seems to be who has the power here same as everywhere else.
As long as that point has been made I'm happy.

Duke

*Sigh*  Evidently, your statement regarding "the first ten" is something related to your individual search criteria.  Or a random pull at some moment in time.  Yer never gonna be a scientist if you don't learn how to define your data sources.

You have clearly stated that Dommes ask for tribute more than male Doms.  You have also claimed that this violates some board rules.  It's obvious to each and every one of us that Dommes ask for tribute more than male Doms, so you've basically told us something we already know, even if your methodology was not rigorous.  Then you've made the statement that this violates board rules.  It doesn't.

Any particular reason that you've refused to address those who've answered you instead of recycling your old arguments?  Too impatient to read, or you just can't comprehend something which disagrees with you?

You seem to feel that Dommes rule the site (which you refer to as a "board") because they can ask for tribute and male Doms can't.  If you want to speak for the lowly and downtrodden, feel free to complain that the female and male subs very seldom ask for tribute either.  Or are you only feeling for yourself?

The facts are:

1. There are no board rules against requesting tribute.  None. Never were.  Aren't any now.

2. The actual reason for the Dommes asking for tribute is BECAUSE THEY CAN.  Too many male subs vs too few Dommes creates an imbalance.  The laws of economics take over from there.

Got it?

What the fuck are you talking about?

You have more than 18,000 posts and you have never seen the CollarMe advisement about not sending money to other users for any reason?

Fornica -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 8:05:16 AM)

"Not sending money to other users" is a WARNING to people that are too stupid not to get scammed.

It is not a rule in regards to being on CollarMe.

Apples and Oranges.

Fornica -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 8:07:34 AM)

From the link
Scam #9 - Requests for "tribute"
This scam is typically perpetrated by persons (male or female) claiming to be dominant women. Commonly, the scammer will claim that they are inundated with messages and that you need to send them a "tribute" (money) to prove your sincerity before they will speak with you further. Typically, but not always, they will request that you send the money via an Amazon Gift Certificate. Not uncommonly, once the money is received, the scammer will stop responding to messages or delete their account. So, before sending anyone 'tribute', remember that your only reward may be a lower bank balance.

Notice the lack of "this is against TOS"?
It's a warning. That's it.

1. There is a difference between "request" and "send".  The advisement is against SENDING.
2. Advising is not the same as a rule.  Of all the people who have broken the advice and sent money, collarme has not punished a single one.  Or banned them.  Had it been a rule, they could have.

You are splitting hairs.

The point is this site should be renamed ScamMe.com.

I was just over on the other side and I usually ignore the profiles that ask for tribute, but I responded to one that made no mention of tribute and lived near me.

She claimed in her profile to be a wealthy international businesswoman.

But when she responded..........can you guess?  I would have to send her tribute to proceed.

Ninebelowzero -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 8:49:47 AM)

GThat's one method used to filter out the wankers

I am not splitting hairs.  What I said and your interpretation of it, are two different things altogether.

There have been periodic suggestions of how to get the tribute Dommes off this site, and every time they are shot down as impractical.  They're a part of this site, just like men, female subs, lesbians, and others that you're not compatible with.  Yet you choose to remain on this site, which is implied acceptance of this reality.

No, the problem is they have taken over this site, at least on the red profiles.

Go see for yourself, I just did.

I'm not talking about pro-dommes, I'm talking about pure scams.

Regardless of the tribute complaint, this made me smile... pretty much the definition... [;)]

LadyHibiscus -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 9:18:16 AM)

I am appalled at the number of red letters that are scammers. I thought the men were being hyperbolic until I changed my settings and saw for myself. It makes it that much harder for the rest of us. And possibly explains why buying a gal coffee and a scone has been conflated with financial domination.

Fornica -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 9:39:00 AM)

It would be great to get rid of them, but how?

mnottertail -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 9:43:56 AM)

Would they leave if we offered tribute?

Fornica -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 9:52:42 AM)

Best idea ever.

NiceButMeanGirl -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 10:04:22 AM)

I used to think that the female Dommes that want tribute make us all look bad, but no. They actually make those of us who DON'T want tribute look BETTER. Ha!!

curlyblue -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 10:06:12 AM)

kneeling

LadyHibiscus -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 10:08:25 AM)

There is abint on the other side with multiple profiles looking for a sub but saying there is a charge to meet her! Riiight. Because men always want to pay BEFORE THEY EVEN SEE US. /headdesk/

Even if CM became a pay site, it wouldn't get rid of them.

Maybe it depends on interpretation, but here is a section from the CollarMe TOS:

7.3.12. You will not use Your profile or any other portion of the Website or Our services to promote any other business enterprise, unless otherwise permitted by collarchat.com, nor will you attempt to use any of Our services to promote an escort service, prostitution, web-cams, or any other form of related enterprise;

It seems to me that asking for, requesting, or demanding a "tribute" would (should?) be considered to be promoting a money-making enterprise, and therefore IS a rule against requesting tribute.

Of course there is also the clause that says "unless otherwise permitted by collarchat.com".  I didn't see anything in the TOS that expressly allowed the fin-dommes to ask for tribute, but it could, I suppose, be argued that since nothing is being done by collarchat to eliminate the fin-dommes that it is something they are permitting even though it seems to be something they don't allow a few lines later.

kalikshama -> RE: tribute (12/10/2011 10:22:36 AM)

I was going to say that's collarchat not collarme, but I see that over there as well, so hmm.
