How many more Phillips screwdrivers do I have to buy?

I've just spent the good part of an hour hunting high and low for one. I've found several flathead screwdrivers. But can I find a Phillips screwdriver?

Usually I have a good memory. I can remember conversations from years back, I can remember phone numbers once they've been repeated to me twice, though I struggle with dates, and names and faces (and thus it's possible for me to be three days late for an appointment, or a week early).

Keys are often a problem. I've found mine under bags, in the food cupboard, even in the fridge. Half the time I have gone through my apartment only to find them already in a pocket or my bag. These are the times when I also walk into the bedroom and immediately forget why I've entered it.

My cellphone is another example. Am I one of the few who uses a landline to find a cellphone? This is how I miss calls. And is there anything worse than when you're trying to find your cellphone from your landline and it goes straight to voicemail?

And why is it when you lose something you always find it just after you've bought the replacement?

Or am I the only one here? What about you? Can anyone else relate to these experiences?

What do you habitually lose or misplace?

Of the things on that list, the items I lose regularly would be......cell phone, documents, and articles of clothing.

I don't lose keys because I have specific places I keep them. The bother of making sure they are there is much MUCH less an issue than the panic of not being able to find them when I need them.

I think that is the key. How important the item is is directly reflected in how much care you give in keeping track of it. Obviously I don't care much about my cell phone, important documents, or most articles of clothing...

I chose clothing. My favourite black Calvin Klein bra has been missing since January. It was the one that didn't show under the summer dresses with the squared necklines. I miss that bra.

The 'where are my glasses' is another one, though they are usually under a file and not "lost" as such.

hahaha fun topic :)

I lose keys like nobody's business. (I keep them on a carabiner clipped to my purse now - otherwise...)

And shoes - or one shoe, anyway. One shoe will be right where I put them, and the other one will be somewhere that makes no sense whatsoever. :p

And whatever screwdrive I need - if I need a flathead, suddennnly my house is overrun by phillips. :p
I got one of those little things with exchangeable heads, so I donn't have that problem annymore. They're all in a case together.

My phone has a slick cover on it, so it's always disappearing into couches, or slipping into the bottom corner of my purse, sliding under furniture, etc...

Have you called your New Years' Eve date?

Peace and comfort,

socks, sunglasses, phone, keys, you name it...I lose probably at least one thing a day.

I think I'm just getting old.

This is why I buy VERY cheap sunglasses. I've got them scattered all over the place.

That is the first thing I thought, Michael, we hot tub (weather allowing) on NYE, and I thought maybe I went home without my bra? But that's not likely, I hate friction. Anyway, no luck.

I wish I could do that, but see, the problem here is that I'm too indecisive to settle on one place, or I will try that and then forget.

I'm better with the keys only through pretending to leave an hour or so before I have to leave.

This also explains why I now have five electronic cigarettes.

Ha.
I used to either sit on em or lose em, so one day I got the bright idea that if I bought a really, really expensive pair I would take great care of em, you know, cuz I'm a guy who takes care of his stuff.

Sound good, right? Like something that should work...

So I go out, buy like a $600 pair of glasses, and ya know what?
I never wear em-I'm scared to scratch or bend em. They sit in their calfskin case and gather dust.

Ain't that the saddest thing ever?

So now I buy ZZ top approved cheap sunglasses too.

Socks drive me batty. :p I'll buy a brand new thing of them, and one by one, they start melting away into the ether.
Then... gotta get more socks.

My suggestions: a toolbox (for screwdrivers), a cup hook by the door (keys) and I have no friggin clue for e-cigs!!

I chose cell phone & documents.
I have an insanely large round keyring that I use to hang on the doorknob as soon as I get home because I did lose my keys all of the time!

I'm pretty good w/the cell phone but I have lost it once in awhile but never for a whole day, merely a few hours.

My documents are NOT organized so I'm alwys losing those!

I admit most times when I do lose stuff it's stuff I've thrown into my purse and then I have to dig out or empty my purse to find it. I just recently though bought a teeny tiny purse so hopefully that will help. I've just come to the realization that most stuff I carry in my purse I just don't need.

My daughter had a nickname for my purse when she was a kid...."the black hole"..things went in and never came out hahaha

I lose keys and utility knives. I bet I have at least a dozen utility knives around the house and when I need to cut someting, they all go into hiding.
