Status: offline 		It does take skill to create the desired effect. Bondage alone can do wonderful things, BUT bondage with meaning can move you to a different level.

Status: offline 		Thank you, Tiger. I've enjoyed reading and learning just as much as sharing my own opinions. Especially since I've found there are a lot more things in the BDSM world I am more interested in than I was when I sortta left the BDSM world several years ago. Bondage is definitely one of them. Sure, I've done the cuffs thing, but found simply putting someone in cuffs trying to be kinky was actually pretty boring, and somewhat lame. Same for silk scarves, rope, chain, et cetera. Well done photos have always interested me, probably because of my interest in photography in general (as long as I'm behind the camera, not in front!) Same for watching others engage in bondage; It was more thrilling for me to watch than to do it myself. To see the way someone skilled handles the binding, especially when it's both physical and mental, and the look of joy the (bindee? not sure what word would be correct here?) gets as they begin to feel themselves let go and "fly."

In truth, one of my random taglines in my email program was "Let the chains of bondage set you free!" But despite all that, despite the knowledge/belief that it is definitely out there, I could not, and still have not yet obtained it. Most of my knowledge and feelings about bondage are based more on observations and my empathy with others than from personal experience. Now that I'm back in the lifestyle, I very much want to explore, learn, and hope that someday I will find it, first hand.

I am not a bondage fan. As an escape artist for me bondage is only a challenge in which I will conquor, the sooner the better. If I stay in bondage it is only because I allow it for my partners sake. Unless the guy who binds me is extraordinarily skilled I usually can slip out fairly soon. Though I have let men I am extremely close with bind me for their amusement and not resisted. I don't find bondage freeing. I don't need to be bound to allow myself the indulgence of being used for sex or sadism, I enjoy that because I am masochistic and comfy in my skin. External devices do not add to my feeling free when I am flying in joy.

Status: offline 		Generally I'm a mass of energy, my mind jumps around - TV I can barely handle, movie theaters drive me nuts because I just can't sit still well.  Even the capability to multi task on computers can not be enough sometimes.

But then, tie me up and I can just sit there for hours (depending on course of the severity of the bonds) content with drifting off to my quite place.  As my signature says - The feeling of freedom, and freedom denied.  What frees my mind is the denial of physical freedom.  I don't expect, or particularly desire, much attention after the fact - I enjoy just being bound and let be.  Or treated as if it's not there, sitting down to watch a movie or chat etc is easier for me if I'm bound.

Years back a friend of mine tied me up while we were playing games, I can now literally say I can beat her at some games with my hands tied behind me

He's tied me up and then gone back to his movie. Looking up at commercials to play with me and then watching the movie again. I have to admit it's something indescribable.

Being tied and teased while he has his attention on me is one thing, but this bit of being ignored unless he has nothing better to do while I just lie there helpless drives home the power exchange. And causes odd reactions in me.

Now you just making me jealous :p

Sadly I don't, and have not had anyone for years, to do such things to me.  The years ago, was with a friend oh.. six years ago.. he tied me up arms and legs and then just lay there on the bed next to me watching a movie.  Near the end he finally paid attention to me - only to tickle me till I fell flat on my unprotectable ass to the floor where we just had to laugh some more.

By now it's so long ago as to be a dream.. *sighs*

Having my freedom and control taken away, the fear of not knowing whats in store, the fear of not knowing how long I will be in that position. The sense of touch is hieghtened. I'm not s truggler, when in bondage I don't want to try to struggle free. I want to enjoy the restriction and indulge in the fear of the unknown and that vulnerability.

I've tried that; the theory that since the girl doesn't like footy and I do, I'll just truss her up in a neat bunch on the floor nearby and watch the game myself. A hundred or so minutes later (when the game's over) and I can barely recall who won, let alone the score or whether the game was a midfield grind or end to end action. Remember everything about her, but....

So yeah, years later when I'm aware of the sub/dom-space experience, I can manage it and toy with the girl as you describe. But I have to consciously be doing other things as a distraction rather than kid myself that I'll just watch a movie and occasionally mess with her during.... All I physically need from her is on a par with furniture - and to be having a good enough time to be lost in (sub) space.
