I'm of the opinion that everybody knows somebody and everybody is capable of doing something which can sustain or support an income.

Dead right in the majority of cases. Sadly, there just aren't enough opportunities for even low level menial jobs since the manufacturing and production jobs that used to sustain the working class have been outsourced to countries where cheap bastards who are reluctant to pay their employees can get a week's work for what would be a couple of hour's wages in the UK or the 'States.

This is also true.

Regarding the OP. I got a question for ya cuckyboy. Why the hell are SCHOOLS supposed to teach this stuff. WTF ever happened to PARENTS teaching values to their children?

Are you advocating that parents stop parenting and abdicate the raising of their children to the government?
Don't take personal responsibility. Let the nanny state raise your children and hold them accountable for the values your kids end up with.

The last time I looked, that lack of personal responsibility and letting the state handle everything was a liberal stance.

Has cuckyboy gone all Leftist on us?

The more schooling kids get, the better capitalist competitors they grow up to be. The more players in the market, more competition is good for the Free Market.

It is therefore in the interest of the Free Market to provide as much education as possible to the broadest audience.

Or are you afraid some black kid from the inner city is going to be more successful than you?

Parents can do a lot to teach their kids in certain areas (or attempt to), they can instill a drive in their kids, motivate them, teach values, etc but a lot of parents cant teach them all kids need to know..

Hilly, what happens when the parents dont know much to start off with? Poor people are poor for a reason, and its usually cuz they dont have the education to earn more. If they dont know much then they can hardly teach their kids all that much about managing money and investing, success, business, etc.. Its like computers, if parents dont know how to operate them, then they cant teach their kids how to.. kids have to learn that or things their parents arent knowlegable about on their own..

I grew up poor, my parents did the best they could in teaching me things.. and in certain areas they gave me more than many other parents give their kids.. but there was a friggin lot they didnt teach me cuz they didnt have that kind of knowledge, i had to learn that on my own.. I have no problem with that at all tho.. Learning on my own was better than not learning at all.. but some of that stuff could have been taught to me in school and imo should have been..
