Either way, it's a tiny little ego boost that makes me smile. I usually check out the profile of anyone who bookmarks me, just out of curiosity. I can either return the compliment or ignore it, no big deal.

Wow. I've just gotta assume Click of Heels is having a bad day. This thread began badly and has progressed to an even worse state. Ms. Click, if I may...you really did seem quite...emphatic about your feelings on people favoriting and friending you. And then you progressed to being somewhat...aggressive with the others who gave their opinions. (whether their opinions were given bluntly or not) Personally, I don't even look to see who is "admiring" me, and I very seldom look to see who is viewing me because I don't know any of those people (unless I've made a controversial post, in which case, it's everyone and their brother.) and if I think about it too much it kind of freaks me out. (yeah, I know, no one has to say it...trust me) But honestly, in the scheme of things, what difference does it make? You do know you can hide your profile, right?

SO, OP, are you seriously insinuating you know each and every reason someone has for put you on their favorites? I know you chopped a good portion of the sentence that "you don't have a clue" was in and again got all offended because you pretty much took that as my saying you have NO CLUE about anything. Just a suggestion to help your indignation of my using that phrase --it may do you good to go read the WHOLE SENTENCE, within which that phrase is contained in my post. I have had people do this and I normally point out to them how rude it infact is. I don't think the fact that I have a profile on a website means anyone can assume I want to be their friend anymore than a stranger walking up to me in public and saying we should be friends means I want to know them either. Click if I can give a little advice...point out to them that you think they are being a little rude and that perhaps they should speak to you before they decide they want to be your friend. When I do it they either just say they are sorry for assuming something and end up sending me a real msg or they never speak to me again. Both work out as win if you ask me. Failing that ask them if you can lop their head off and stick it on a pike in your front yard as a warning to every other idiot that wants to be your friend < that one I would almost be willing to guarantee will work to make them go away.

The friends that I have accepted are people I converse with. I do not accept friend request from strangers and I don't bother to write them. I simply reject and go on. I too like admirers. It makes me feel nice that someone thought enough of me to add me to their favorites. I like to check the who's viewing me so that I can see who is in my area. I write them wishing them well in their search. I thank people for stopping by.
