Obama is quoted in an interview favoring higher energy costs so that "green energy" will seem more affordable

Yeah?!!  And?!!  So phukin' what?!!  He's perfectly fine with electricity rates "SKYROCKETING"?!!  He's a scum-bag for not caring what type of financial burden "skyrocketing" electricity rates would place on people just for the purpose of his "green" goals.  Gotta love his idiotic thinking of wanting people to buy ELECTRIC cars, while also (under HIS plan) causing electricity rates to "SKYROCKET" -- what a complete phukin' asshole, he is!!!

Oh jesus, this again?

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/jun/11/mike-pence/pence-claims-obama-said-energy-costs-will-skyrocke/

On March 24, 2009, we gave the claim a Pants on Fire ruling because the GOP's calculation was badly flawed and because the GOP used the figure even though the author of the MIT study had told them it was wrong. And in an April 1 letter to House Republicans, authors of the MIT study said that the report was being misinterpreted; by their count, estimates hover closer to $340 per family.

........

Despite those potential cost cuts, there's still little disagreement that consumers will pay for cap-and-trade, whether it's $3,100 (Republican claims disputed by MIT) a year or $340 (OBO claim). Because that hasn't changed since Obama first said that utility rates would "necessarily skyrocket," and because Pence got Obama's words just right, we give Pence a True.

I still see nothing about favoring higher costs.

Yeah... with those on the Left.  I take the idiot O'Failure at his word -- whether it's to "fundamentally transform America", or that HIS PLAN would cause electricity rates to SKYROCKET -- and especially when HE has explained WHY the rates would "SKYROCKET".  It's because of HIS PLAN... HIS ACTIONS... HIS REGULATIONS... and ALL OF HIS DOING -- i.e., "capping greenhouse gases":

"Regardless of what I say about coal -- whether coal is good or bad -- because I'm capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants... natural gas... whetever the plants were... whatever the industry was, they would have to... uhhh... retrofit their operationsThat will cost money... they will pass that money along to consumers."

Ya know, Lucy, isnt it interesting how Christie pulled out of the NE initiative after...

Several states, including New Jersey, have raided RGGI proceeds recently to fill budget gaps. Christie took $65.2 million from the state’s Global Warming Solutions Fund to balance the current budget. This morning, he condemned RGGI as nothing more than a tax.

He didnt seem to mind that "tax" when he used it to balance the budget.

Other than massive borrowing and spending you mean, or you want that in the list as well?

The people of America...the normal ones believe the president is working in good faith and has the country`s welfare in mind as he acts.

Not sure they feel the same about republicans after their actions last year.

Folks know who is putting country before politics and who isn`t.

FR-

The Obama administration has only  its own welfare in mind as it spins its lies about the current state of the economy, with a lot of help from the typical liars in far left media

Heres the bottom line re Decembers hiring reports, from an article that explains the lies and spin very clearly

The raw numbers show that the job market, in the context of the high unemployment rate and labor underutilization, is at best sluggishly improving. It is definitely not in a "surge," or "gaining steam."

I'd hate to mention Obama and Reagan together but this sentence is telling.

But the president's re-election chances may hinge more on the direction of the unemployment rate. It was 7.2 percent when Ronald Reagan beat Walter Mondale in 1984, but it had fallen from 10.8 percent two years before the election.

Not exactly. At this point in time in Reagan's first term unmeployment was 8.5 or 6 %. Thus, unemployment has fallen at this point in time to just about the same, 10+ to about 8.6...under Obama. Obama inherited a much worse situation, where 2 million jobs were lost in just the last qtr of calender 2008 and another 150,000 in Jan. 09 before he was even inaugurated.

It is ALL people, ALL a matter of perspective as I have written here countless times that at this point in 1983 the 'talk' was who would Reagan route in an election almost a year away. There was NO talk of ANY dem beating Reagan at any time...ever. The media today is a branch of the corporate agenda. It has been very successful especially of late.

Now the propaganda is ('employment down,' 'leading from behind', 'Obama's made it worse') either an outright lie or meaningless drivel, which is most of today's right wing talking points.

To 'hate mentioning Reagan and Obama in the same sentence' is to bring prejudice and thus a lack of objectivity.

Oh and yes, things are...getting better despite the lies and continued vitriol from the right.

Yea, I know it's getting pretty bad when the left refuses to recognize that the numbers only really mean what they say when they are good numbers...during a repub admin.

I mean come on people we can't rely upon the same numbers when we are talking about a dark-skinned, Kenyan, anti-colonialist in the white house...now can we ?

Obfuscate, call the numbers racist... bitterly attack the messenger, thats all fine

But everyone with half a mind can see that when the regular Christmas hiring is spun into the economy "surging" or called "gaining steam"

Or called "better political news" according to the AP...

This White House finally begins to become a little more transparent
