Actually popeye, I'd like to see some young people who WOULD like to work! I was looking for kids to work for me for the longest time...and simply gave up! I offered pay above minimum wage, a very flexible schedule so they could continue their sports teams/ summer classes, paid breaks with refreshments I furnished, an hour for lunch, and a bonus at Christmas. I was looking for house sitters, yard and garden help, and some occasional housecleaning when I was going to entertain. Nothing difficult. And I couldn't find ONE person that would apply. I even called the school counselors. Many (NOT ALL) of today's kids are so used to having things handed to them, given to them, they have no interest in working. I see kids hanging out in parking lots and on street corners in the city, who'd rather complain about being bored out of their minds than get their hands dirty. So please don't tell me there are no jobs for young people that want to work.
