Is it racist if I am trying to tell someone about something Lisa did at a party, and Lisa was the tallest black chick there, so when they say "Who is Lisa?" I reply the tall black chick? If Lisa is trying to tell someone what I did at the same party, and they say "Which chick was she?" and Lisa says the fat redhead, is she hating on fat folks? I say no to both. I think that, sometimes, if we seek offense, we find it. A parent brought me a gift card the last day of school, before the break. He could not recall my name, and was asking another lady "Who is the lady that works the check-out table?". When she said describe her, he was literally embarrassed and said well, she has red hair, looking down. She named another redheaded worker, and he asked if that lady was, umm, errr, turn red, look pityful, is that lady larger? After the worker quit laughing, she said oh you mean our fat grouchylunchlady? He nearly died! She told him to not worry, I call my self that. He would die if he knew she told me about this. I won't tell him, but I really wanna say fat is just an adjective yanno. Anyhow, this may be totally unrelated, but, blame the weed is all I can say. Just because someone takes offense, does not mean offense was intended. And, just like my story says, sometimes, trying to avoid being offensive, we just make our selves look silly. Must my 2 cents, your mileage may vary. BTW, Lisa and I rocked dancing together...that, folks, is the rest of the story!
