I was gonna say we have to have senses of humours to read the utter lack of facts in anything put up by some.

Moonhead -> RE: Fox Shut Out of Canada Because of a Law Against Lying During Newscasts (1/15/2012 12:36:40 PM)

Well yes, but if Somebody thinks he's using his hilarious comedy skills, it's a lot more fun to say that he's less funny than having a childhood pet put down, innit?

Lucylastic -> RE: Fox Shut Out of Canada Because of a Law Against Lying During Newscasts (1/15/2012 12:40:39 PM)

There is definitely a disconnect between dictionary defintions and parts of the posts
I dont find it funny I find it dishonest and pathetic.

Moonhead -> RE: Fox Shut Out of Canada Because of a Law Against Lying During Newscasts (1/15/2012 12:42:02 PM)

So does everybody else.

Truth

FOX News is the most popular cable news channel in America because its the only news channel that doesnt try to spoon feed its audience far left talking points

So you're against newscasts being truthful? Or at least in good faith?

Then why it a recent study of NJ residents showed that people who get the majority of their news from Fox know less than people who don't watch tv news at all?

http://articles.latimes.com/2011/nov/21/news/la-pn-fox-news-poll-20111121

I don't care how "popular" something might be.  If the news isn't factual I'm not watching or listening to it.

Sanity -> RE: Fox Shut Out of Canada Because of a Law Against Lying During Newscasts (1/16/2012 5:36:10 AM)

That "study" and others like it have been debunked as the far left disinformation that it is so many times here that its always surprising when another Chris Mathews fan posts a link to it  [:D]

Since its not worth the time to re rehash it here, one can easily find multiple threads in which its been given a proper burial just search the archives using keywords such as "FOX"  "study" and "viewers"

Half, more or less, of the US population is of below average intelligence by definition.

Get their loyalty and you're golden. [8D]

You have not provided any proof of your statements, so they cannot be considered factual. And are just your opinion

I just googled Fox, News, study. Those 3 words in that order.

Here are the first 10 results in order.

http://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/mkorl/study_shows_fox_news_viewers_are_less_informed_on/

Now, I'll be the first to admit that perezhilton.com isnt exactly hard news but, guess what? The next 10 said the same thing.

The first 20 articles that came up (that's all I looked at) ALL said the same thing. Fox News Viewers are less informed than people who don't watch news.

Please don't take my word for this. Try it yourself.

Google and enter the words "Fox study viewers" in order.

Thanks for the tip Sanity[:D]

Leftists have a strong fascist streak generally, and are always seeking to ban any form of speech that they feel threatens their failed ideology

Basically they cant debate on the level so they need an edge to push their misery on to the population, resulting in Orwellian laws such as this

Shouting fire in a crowded theatre?

How does defending your god given right to lie through your teeth jibe with your pretense to moral authority?

Im quite aware that you didn't say "Google it". I was just trying to go for a much larger sample size and therefore increase the validity of the conclusions drawn by a couple of orders of magnitude.

Google isn't particularly biased to the right or left if you ignore the occasional "Google Bomb" and I don't think the results I found were a result of that.

I stopped at 2 pages because in a typical google search, by page 3 or 4, you start getting references that are very off topic.

So. If you have an article (not a thread here by biased people on both sides flinging poo at each other) that indicates that the study about FOX viewers was debunked, I'd be happy to look at it.

In the mean time, I have to assume that it wasn't debunked and those who insist it was must be FOX viewers. [:D]

True, you suggested a search of the CC archives.

However, since you have never satisfactorily proven anything to anyone's satisfaction, a Google search is more appropriate.

Its impossible to prove anything "satisfactorily" to far left wingnuts who have an uncanny predisposition to pretend that what one writes is something other than what was actually written

It's possible to show real data and try to convince people with open minds and you aren't even attempting to do that.
