Given the matter under discussion in the OP, 21 seems a bit old for rumspringa, and I'm dubious that the lad would have been taking a horse and buggy to a hot date if he was on probabtion before rebaptism in any case. The point of that is that they can see how the other half live and how evil modern life is, after all...

Fast Reply I wanted to take a moment and thank all of the posters that have handled this topic very well. Even in disagreement, or maybe especially in disagreement, the topic did not break down. It is all of you that post here, that show how well a discussion can be had. I just felt that a positive among all the negative in the past several weeks was needed. Possibly, it stayed civilized because certain folks didn't care to join it. I'm not by any means saying that the posters on this topic are the only civilized ones down here in the basement but..........................
