Mine is that there was this girl in High School that I liked and still sort a do. I was often a bit of a jerk to her though I have no idea why and because of that she hates my guts any way durring my freshman year of college I created this fake account and started messaging her to my surprise I started to like her even more but alas we stopped messaging well she stopped messaging me why I don't know. Anyway I never told her how I felt and that is my single greatest regret because I'll never know if she could ever like me.

No real regrets - I made a lot of mistakes, but in hindsight I learned a hell of a lot from each mistake.

At one point I had to choose between 2 men. I made a choice, and it was a disaster and broke my heart. If I'd chosen the other man I'd probably have ended up marrying him...and resenting him for being such a passive 'nice guy'. So in the end it was better that I lost both.

I seriously cannot think of one.

I look at life as a learning experience. Everything I've done for good or bad has been a lesson. No great tragedy here. I cannot think of any one choice I've made that has caused anyone I care about great harm or anything to regret.

One regret I do NOT want to have in 50+ years. I do not want to say, "I wish I had spent more time with..... I wish I had said 'I love you' more.....I wish I had hugged more...."

I work very hard to avoid that regret, every single day.

Even if it makes people uncomfortable, I make sure people know they are loved and appreciated.

Well there was this girl I knew. And this other girl I knew. And this other girl I knew. And so on.

There is also the $40,000 I spent on cigarettes. Starting a 60 cents a pack.

There is also a certain trip to jail. (Insert several unprintable words and a couple unpronounceable ones, here)

But topping this list has to be meeting my Dad. Tough to get anything done with help like that.

I don't have regrets... none at all.

I've lived a life which has been difficult, interesting, unique, and truth be told I have never fitted in..

I've always had good intentions.. always.

Much of my life is made up of mistakes, misunderstandings, failures, fears, doubts, empty days, conflicts, stuff that didn't work out and periods where I really wondered if I had lost it.

I've lost so many people from my life, family, friends, partners, I've lost homes, jobs, careers, money, possessions, you name it, I've lost it. But there have also been so many times of discovery, realization, learning, achievements, success, and so many people..

I have a bunch of friends, people who have stood by me, they know who they are and I love and appreciate every last one of them..

I am never afraid to say that I am wrong, I am never afraid to apologize, nor am I ever afraid to back down from a conflict. Life to me isn't about winning and being right, it's about people, experiences and the memories which are created.

To me the saddest thing you can ever experience in your life is to be there on your death bed, knowing that you have only an hour or two to live, and realizing that you never took those opportunities, you never gave people those chances, and that you never lived.

You see I came into this life with nothing, I'm leaving it with nothing, it doesn't matter what I have and don't have, what matters is that I bring something to people's lives which I can leave behind, and which will stay with them forever in their memories.

You cannot change the past, so I have always tried to live my life in a way where I would never feel the need to. Nobody will ever be able to say when I die that I didn't try.

FF neither of my parents are going to win mother or father of the year awards. Don't look at him as a regret but instead of a life lesson on the kind of man, not to be.

I will NEVER be a mother or grandmother, daughter or sister, wife or girlfriend, like my mother. I chose a stepfather for my children that will NEVER be a father, son, brother, friend, husband, grandfather, like my father or his own.

I can honestly say I have no regrets.
Of all of the bad times I've been through (and nowhere near as bad as a lot of people), I can see that I am the person I am now in spite of those times.
Whenever I have had to get through bad times, I have always tried to see the positive side of it after, and I've found that has always worked, even if it's just been learning by that mistake not to ever put myself in that situation again.
The phrase 'we live and learn' is one I like a lot.
I adore my life, and I feel I've deserved the happiness I have now found, and it's definitely been worth the hard work.
Growing up I was always taught that as long as you're a good person deep down, and as long as you are true to yourself, you will reap the rewards, even if it takes a while for that to happen.
I do sometimes feel sad when I see so many people so consumed with bitterness that they can't enjoy the life they have, but it just makes me cherish my life even more, and strive to make sure my children will pass on the lessons I have learned in this wonderful life.

Not really a regret, more of I wish I could take it back and not have done it... but I burned a bridge to a friendship that I wish I hadn't as we would have been good friends...

Way ahead of you on that point. Ma'am. I haven't beaten, robbed, raped, killed or murdered anyone. Those times I have stolen are few and far between. I don't use vandalism to get my own back when I get screwed over. I am not a drunk. I am not a racist. I try to not be ignorant. I am nothing like him.

I appreciate the point you are making. It is not lost on me. But what I was regretting is not what you seem to think. Not that my father was a no-good. What I regret is that he was no good. To anyone. Including himself. The regret is that I could be so much more than I am had I proper grounding and support. Unrealized potential is waste. And I got lots of that. And four siblings. I regret the waste.

I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I don't regret a single one of them.  I've learned and grown so much through my mistakes that without them I wouldn't be the person I am today.  Some of it I wish hadn't happened but that's not the same as regret--things had to happen just as they did in order for me to get to this point in my life.

I don't live regretfully. Every mistake, every misstep, every act, brought me here and now. I wouldn't change anything ,it would have put me on some unknowable path that might be disastrous.

I know I'll make plenty more mistakes, so I try to live consciously, and appreciate the people around me. I try to be kind.

Her name was Dusty...  she was smart, sexy and open minded.  She was too young at the time, but I should have kept her anyway.
