Yup. I come across as politically conservative to some because I argue against what political liberals want, sometimes. I can understand why I am considered a political liberal by many others, though. It is hard for me to be defined in such terms in any event (sorry folks, I was just born this way). Hippie K. recently posted a few things from Scott Hedges where, among other things, he says that Nixon was actually half decent. I thought I was the only one. I don't consider the guy a hero at all, but it is a sad statement on affairs as they have been for sometime now that I would consider him to be an improvement over anything these last 30 years. Nixon did in fact have to deal with numerous issues not of his own doing or instigation. The Ohio state thing happened under his watch, that certainly didn't help. But all the break-in stuff happened simply because the technology didn't exist at the time what this new National Security law (with a whole cabinet department, to boot) makes now legal. As you and I type, we are being 'broken into' by at least 10 different companies and at least 5 different government agencies, no permission or warrant needed. We have played out the government control v. business control experiment, and both have failed miserably.
