This is very clear to me and I have no problem with (sh)it anyway.

But obviously that girl was so overwhelmed with the flood (?) of offensive messages she got she gave up. -- And she even stated in her profile that she was going to ignore, delete, block bullying mails and their senders respectively. So she was aware of those tools.

Quite petal, fact of life, some like me are virtualy bombproof, we are confident, fit in easily, come to places like this and dive in happily with both feet, any arseholes simply get shrugged off as being totaly irrelivent. A few words spoken out at the right time can make a lot of diffrence to another. Other folks don't want to... fine I don't ask them too... I do and, well as I've said a number of times before, couldn't give a monkeys what others opinion of it is, not going to stop me doing so when *I* deem it appropriate [:)]

i read Your post Wumpus, Sir... and disabled or not, ppl get those kinda messages all the time... 
 
i too am a crip, and like Your friend it does not bother me nor do i careless what ppl think... Oh yes i have tons and TONS of ppl stop talking to me after they found out, but hell that is their problem, surly not mine.... 
 
some ppl just sux Sir, thats a fact of life....

Can anyone contact this sub that left? Maybe convince her to come back.  Is she new to the internet?
I am new here  to COLLARME and I am also handicapt Dom, not to mention I am so ugly I can scare dirt, I am not just sayin this to be funny but I have destroyed all pics of myself because everytime, and I mean EVERYTIME I show a pic, the sub stops talkin to me...but here are my thoughts.....
Although I agree with another post about kicking and banning these jerks who feel they must do this...it would be impossible. Ya might get some, but many will filter thru.
Three..(damn its early,I misspelled the word three) suggestions I have:
a) a link (intro) made where everyone can go and be "advised" that this is gonna happen and to report, block, delete. 
b) maybe a place be set inside COLLARME for people like this sub to go, and talk to someone about these jerks.
c) reporting these jerks to someone inside COLLARME and then these jerks sternly warned...THIS IS NOT TOLERATED.
Although I have never recieved rude emails, it is just as rude for someone to immediately stop chatting with you when they "finally" see a pic.

Do we really think that the VOLUNTEER staff at Collarme has the time or the desire to deal with "He was rude to me" complaints from ADULTS?

I'm really sorry, rude people do suck...but we ALL have to deal with them. If you are too immature to simply ignore it, or not confident enough to block or delete it....then I would suggest that you are not mature or confident enough to own a computer.

Years ago, my youngest sister graduated from collge and prepared to begin her tour with the Peace Corps.  My other sister was finishing up Law School with the intention of starting a family law practice to better focus on children's rights during divorce.  I was managing a pet store, working part-time as a vet tech,  and doing volunteer work.  My father lamented, "Damn it!  Can't any of my girls find jobs that make them money?" 

I responded, "Daddy, anybody can make money, but not everyone can make a difference."

Some times we can make a difference by saying the right thing at the right time.  Thank you, Sir.  I hope you were effective in keeping the lady in question from running; if she were to do that then the assholes and idiots win.

I think your suggestions are great. The "place to talk" might be a forum here and the "WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!" warning is probably the most important part: those jerks need to be told that directly.

I would have to agree with RavenMuse that the point of the OP was more about the rudeness than about disability itself.

True, the world could and should make a better place for people with disabilities.  Also true that the world has rude insensitive people in it.  No sense hiding from the truth...

Still, who wants to decide whether rudeness to and non-accommodation of disabled people is the cause most worth fighting for?  Is this where we put in a plug to feed the hungry, clothe the naked (selecitively, of course) and house the homeless?

Not to be too flippant, but some problems are larger than others, depending of course on your perspective.  Hope the OP toughes it out.

..................also, I don't think anyone should have jumped all over  Jaydee for trying to clarify, but it looks like you guys worked it out yourselves...
