ORIGINAL: MasterDoc1 Icarys says: The republicans won't have a choice if they don't back Paul. I agree Icarys, which is why I would bet on Obama these days. Either the republicans nominate Paul (and they win) or they nominate anyone else. If they nominate anyone else, Gary Johnson runs as a libertarian, gets many of the disaffected Paul supporters and hands the election to Obama. Since I don't think the republicans will nominate Paul that means a win for Obama. I know Paul is organized in the caucus states but which states do you think he will win, Icarys? I am CERTAIN Paul WON"T go third party; hes been there done that, knows the deck is stacked to make it IMPOSSIBLE to win and is too old to make gestures (and make enemies that his son will have to live with down the road). His plan has been about delegates. I really don't want to say much more than that. (I know what people are thinking.. That's what everyone's plan is..of course but there is a twist) :) and it's brilliant. Suffice to say he has a very good plan in place and I mean a very good one and from what I've just learned, his chances just got a big boost. Actually, it was that way from the start, it's just been kept quite. I think he'll do very well in western states. Texas, California and so on. California has 178 delegates I believe and I think they run caucus as well.
