My understanding is that images for comparison must be uploaded to TinEye. It's main purpose is for ~copyright infringement. TinEye does not scour the net for new images.

I'm reading the FAQ at TinEye.

Ok, TinEye does crawl the web and add images. Great

Facebook pictures are not indexed. I believe this is true for Fet as well.

From their FAQ:

"TinEye is constantly crawling the web and updating our image database regularly. If we missed your image, it is simply because we have not yet crawled the website or page where it appears. Status: offline 		tazzy, i did a google image search of one of mine.  It did a find a ton of similar images.  If I averaged the resulting images then I must be a cross between Johnny Depp, a few different androgynous (maybe lesbian) but pretty females, a couple of over weight Asian guys, Ronnie Wood, Severus Snape and a girl on a horse.  I not sure what google is trying to tell me.

Of course I'm hung like a horse (at least on internet forums).  I'm also very rich.  Oh I also have a very expensive car but I can't pick people up in it or anything as it's in the shop (on whatever day I'm supposed to come pick someone up).

Okay well I'm not very metro and rather average in the house department but am very musical.  I have been the last guy that two ex-wives and three ex-girlfriends have slept with before deciding they were gay but I'm not sure that really shows up in my pictures.  Well it did pick up a bit of androgyny i guess.

That's it I'm changing my pictures!

Status: offline 		I admit it! I'm coming clean! I'm a fake. I dye my hair and my beard grey so that I give the illusion of "experience" and "wisdom". Otherwise, I would have nothing going for me.

If I stop dying the hair/beard, maybe if I got one of those "professors' jackets" with the patches, at the elbows? Oooooh! I could put on my reading glasses and light my pipe!

Of course I don't really dye my hair grey. I am not really sanguine about a website that uses so many arbitrary criteria to label a person in a horrible way.

Of course there are people "living out their fantasies" on the interwebs. To expect that not to happen is kind of foolish but, there are people that are looking to find that special someone(s) and when the fantasy/role players aren't honest about their intent, they do some emotional damage and that's where the issue is (I think).

I have no problem with a 19 year old college boy who wants to pretend he's a girl because he has some gender identity issues or whatever. I have an issue when they do so with people that are looking for something real .

Let me be very clear, here: I won't label a lady as "fake" because she doesn't wish to meet with me (I usually get the "You look pretty scary, in your photo" line). I will, however, label them a time waster when they have contacted me, first and then, won't even get on the phone or Skype (very anonymous) so that I can convince them that the photo may be scary but that I am not such a scary guy (unless you're afraid of middle-aged, pacifist, Star Trek geeks that like to sing karaoke).
