I was all wistful over some ink the other day and thought I would ask... what do you think of ink, piercings, scarifications, etc on your domly type? Deal breaker? Horribly off-putting? Okay as long as it's not the ex's name?

ETA: domly type of any gender, I refuse to accept internet spelllings. :)


Hib, who has ink, piercings, and just one very lovely scarification...but isn't going to be offended at anyone's answer.

aslong as it isn't an ex's name, or on the neck/face. preferably not on visible appendages, but some allowance may be given for those, as long as they aren't mural sized.

Chael isn't into piercings and tattoos, hair dye, other mods, but likes them on me. He'd be happy with them on me or without them, he just wants me to be comfortable and pleased with how I look. His only real preference expressed is he doesn't think I should get anymore facial piercings because it'll look "cluttered".

But he's fine with my piercings, scarification, hair dyeing, and plans for microdermals, silicone dermal implants and possible ear elving.

My profession (and my family's tolerance) limits what I can do to myself, but I love other folks' mods.

Master has a lovely tattoo of a scorpion on his shoulder. I like tatts - I think they're sexy [:)]

Scarification, if done well, is equally attractive. Not on the face or hands...it needs to be subtle.

Piercings - I have multiple ear piercings, and would be open to other piercings if he wanted them, but he doesn't seem concerned about that. He has no piercings, which is cool by me cos I don't like piercings on my other half.

When I first started meeting subs, I never found any of them had any problem with me already having tattoos, and I also had a couple of facial piercings at the time as well.

There might have been a problem if I'd had the name of my ex tattooed on me, but the man in my life now has never had any problems, and has no problems with me wanting even more in future. [:D]

I guess I'm going to have to be the boring conservative in the group.

I don't particularly care for body art.  I don't mind a small tattoo, but I don't really care for extensive body mod.

I notice that many of the TNGers seem to be in a race to see who can be the first to have 100% of their body covered by tattoos.  Eyebrow, tongue, and lip piercings are also prominent among the TNGers.  I guess I'm just an old corporate fart, because I always find myself thinking, "How are you ever going to get a job with all those tattoos and piercings?"

For me it doesn't have anything to do with D/s.
I just have a thing for tattoos, there is something hot about them.

Tats: I prefer them to be well thought out, tasteful, and able to be hidden by street clothes. Sleeves aren't as much of a problem but not on hands, face or neck.

Piercings: Never really found them sexy on men.

My bloke has a tattoo on his arm and I really want him to get it extended, just because I think it will look better. I think tattoos can be beautiful but I don't particularly obsess over them

Hey Lady Hib! From another d-type with a few small tattoos and piercings - Ive had only one s-type person take exception to my pierced nipples, and he expressed that it interfered with his enjoyment of said nipples.. lol. Personally, it doesn't matter to me much if what s-types might think, they enjoy it or not, makes little difference to me. Having said THAT, I do enjoy an s-type who has piercings himself, and maybe a sexy but obscure tattoo. I've often fantasized about having my own submissive get pierced for me/by me. Gets me all power-horny.. yum!

No tats, no piercings.

As for seeing them on someone else, a few in select places are ok but to borrow a line from Larry the Cable Guy, I don't want to try to have sex with a woman and feel like Im working on my truck because of all the metal.

I don't mind small, tasteful tattoos. But I like being able to see most of my partner's skin...I just like how the natural nude looks. A small, tasteful tattoo can add contrast and make the natural nude even sexier, but if the man is literally covered in ink and pictures, I'm not interested.

I, myself, will probably get a small tattoo in the future. And I secretly want my dom to request that I get a clit or inner labial piercing, because they are just so beautiful and slave-like, but I don't have the guts to do it myself!

Also, since we have a tat thread going on, here are some tattoos I don't find attractive They're always more fun than showing off the pretty tattoos. Warning, that last one's pretty graphic!

I wouldn't care as long as it's tasteful and meaningful. I personally don't feel like "it looks kewl" is an acceptable reason to get a tattoo.

I hate tatts and body piercings with a passion, most especially on women. I think they're the most feral fashion accessory women ever adopted. 'Bout as feminine as the average foul-mouthed, butt scratching wharfie...!

I don't have any tattoos, and I don't think even my ears are pierced any more.  I did have a cutting done once, on the back of my left hip just above my badonkadonk.  The scar from my allergic reaction to the band aid adhesive lasted longer (and hurt worse), though.  My body just reacts strangely and acutely to most all metals, inks, adhesives etc.  I'm guessing they are probably triggers that  my auto-immune disorders react to.

I've been attracted to dominant individuals with artistic inks or piercings.  Their fleshy accessories suited their colorful personalities. 

I have considered getting a small  tattoo, just for the experience, but I've never found a design that I would want to wear for the rest of my life.
