Kind of. But it is the state that now requires state workers to pay a portion of their health care benefits and pension costs like nearly everyone else has to do. it is the state where my property taxes actually went down this year for the first time ever. It is the state that has eliminated a 3 billion dollar deficit without raising taxes. Scott Walker will not be voted out in the upcomong recall election. We are now a RED state.

I am not sure what part of 91% of Americans, agreed with what President Obama said in his state of the union speech.
Even Castro is laughing at the republican candidates.
But you keep doing you.

Peace

Here will be the question that will come up this summer. Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago ? Will the African American community answer that they are better off ? Will the unemployed say that they are better off ? How about the retirees ? How about the small business owners ? I say he's going down.

I think the entire country will be "better off", if we can start the insourcing process.
It will take time to fix, what the evil, greedy, soulless corporate bastards have been allowed to do for over 30 years, but it is a step in the right direction.

See the title of this thread? insourcing

servantforuse -> RE: ****President Obama's Insourcing Jobs Plan**** (1/26/2012 9:01:11 PM)

We are not better off. Obama has been president for 3 years now. If he wants to get jobs back on shore he better start now. Do you really think that will happen in the next 8 months ?

no-one has said it will happen in 8 months.
I think you need to listen to the speech a few times and go to bed.
Peace

servantforuse -> RE: ****President Obama's Insourcing Jobs Plan**** (1/26/2012 9:07:22 PM)

I'll go to bed if you promise to look up the OUT sourcing of jobs of General Electric to China. It is happening right now and Obama is in favor of it.

Look up GE. I know you probably don't want to see what's really going on but that's up to you.

The globalist idea of making all countries equal isn't working. In order for for it to work, all prices in less developed countries would have to go up along with rising wages and all prices in more developed countries would have to decrease with declining wages. I don't know what's going on in other more developed countries, but in the United States, rent, utilities, and food prices don't seem to be decreasing. This unwillingness to bring prices down (greed) and the suffering that results from it is the reason I'm against globalization. I think President Obama has some great ideas on how to get jobs back, but can he do it without congress? If not, the idea is likely doomed from the start because of lobbyists and bribes for campaign dollars (companies wanting to continue record profits from slave labor offer campaign donations in exchange for voting against insourcing bills).

Nor will it until the Radicals are flushed out of Washington. It won't happen because they won't let it happen.

Marini: the answer is simplicity itself - just pass a law requiring all goods sold in this country to be made domestically within, say, a five year time frame. Foreign companies wanting to sell their goods here can do so if they set up factories to make them here AND if they agree to let US companies do the same in their countries. Problem solved: no subsidies, no tax breaks, no big government - just one law which can go on a single typewritten page. What's not to love?

It's funny, the people who support that crap ('outsourcing") think (you're) "overpaid" at $40-$60 an hour but they're not at $600,000 per year.

Walker didn't eliminate the state's deficit. He lied when he said he had. He recently told the feds the truth. It was in the papers up there.

He's also looking at a federal prosecution for his malfeasance as Milwaukee County administrator.

And he and his staunchest allies in the state senate are about to all get recalled.

Wisconsin will go back in the Democratic column this november.

The dems had a 51-49 majority in the Senate from 2008 to 2010. They even forced through Obama care in that time period.

Obama tried for months to get the GOP to discuss health care and failed.  Finally he used reconciliation to ram it down their throats.  It was done despite the Senate's wishes.

The answer would be a resounding YES I am. 4 years ago I was watching the final throes of the second worst president in the history of the country finally being moved out of the job. The same president that oversaw over 3000 of his countymen murdered on US soil. That oversaw the killing of thousands of US troops and many more wounded and many many more psychologically damaged over a lie he propagated. That allowed the murderer of those 3000 countrymen to walk around unharmed for 7 years without so much as laying a finger on him or his organization. A president that oversaw the destruction of the US economy. That oversaw millions of americans forced out of their houses, out of jobs. So , yes, I am much better off today than I was 4 years ago.

Nothing is going to happen in the next 8 months. Everyone is too busy campaigning for the next election.

Really?
Anybody would think that this system wasn't set up with our best interests at heart. Surely not...
