In the end, that's what you pay people for, their time, and the price tends to rise and fall with the quality of the service being negotiated for, if, as in this instance, a certain degree of specialization is involved - you don't have to do it if you don't want, you are free to pursue any and all alternatives. I've had women offer to pay me, I just feel weird about it, but again, it's mostly about avoiding entanglements, i.e., it becomes a simple transaction, with explicit limits, including that the act of giving someone money in exchange for a service means that the giver is really the one in the position of power, the customer is always right, etc., the receiver is expected to provide value in exchange - but I'll allow that male and female motivations might differ in this area.

And, motivations would be expected to vary from person to person anyway - this would be part of the prodomme's art: being able to discern whether graciousness is called for, or abuse, something in between, or combinations thereof, etc., etc. Human interaction can be very subtle, and in this day and age of cartoonish stereotyping, subtlety alone, in an interaction, has value. Back in the Eighties, Narcissistic cliquishness was so rampant, people paid people to just to come over and talk to them, to be their friend, just to get some human contact - understanding has value when nobody else gives a shit.

Awareness, why exactly do you feel that proDommes don't provide something of value to their costumers? As far as I know, they provide their time and their equipment, just like any other entertainer does. So why is a proDomme's time any different? It's not because nothing tangible is exchanged between both parties that they customer doesn't get exactly what he's paying for: an hour of fantasy and illusion. In that sense, going to a proDomme isn't any different than going to the theater, or seeing a magic act, or having a model do a catwalk, or a bunch of other jobs. It's the time you're paying for, not the product. So why do you feel proDommes are different? why can't they charge for their time? Now I agree that a lot of men who pay proDommes are weak, miserable, and probably should spend their money more wisely, but doesn't apply to all clients. And it's never been a provider's responsibility to save people from themselves. It's simple not a proDomme's responsibility to save their clients from themselves either. You can't force a person to be a mature and stable adult if they don't want to be, or can't be that themselves. Refusing them what the are looking for doesn't work, it doesn't help and it doesn't fix anything. They'll go somewhere else, and find something else, and still ruin their own lives. If you disallow an entire service to exist, because some of it's cliental use said service to ruin their life, you should disallow virtually everything to exist, from alcohol, to food, to cars. Should restaurants refuse to serve fat people too? Are restaurants exploiting the weak and the stupid when they serve fat people? And if not, why are proDommes that different? Why are they responsible to save the world?
