kitty, you've been a member of this site for 10 days. I'm afraid you have succumbed to what is known as 'sub frenzy'. Unfortunately, there is no known cure except time and reflection.

Step back, take a deep breath and reevaluate your situation. Did you just jump into the arms of the first guy who came along and sounded properly "Domly"?

I've looked at the posters on this topic and see about a century of experience. Come talk to us and listen to us. No person here knows the "One TWUE way". Know why? There is none and anyone claiming that there is, much less that they are the ONE twue way, is a fraud.

What has happened to you has happened to countless thousands of people over the years. Sometimes, there's a legitimate excuse, often there is not. It's up to you to think with your brain and not your nether regions to decide.

This is an awesome lifestyle once you sort thru the players and horny net geeks (HNG's)

It happens OP, people disappear sometimes - even when things seemed fantastic. You don't know all the information, he might have found something different that interests him more and wasn't man enough to let you know. He might already be involved, he might have had second thoughts, he might have told you untruths and meeting would have shown you that he lied. What I would do in your situation (and have) is to put him out of your mind, figure that he's moved on. If he contacts you in a reasonable amount of time with a plausible reason then you can decide what to do at that point. Look at it this way...be glad you didn't invest more time into it and you found out early on that the two of you wouldn't be a match.

I know you're probably sick of hearing this at this point, but slow down! Get to know someone bit by bit before trusting them with personal information. Try not to get personally invested in someone before meeting. That sounds so boring and you'll be glad every time you do it when you find out that the guy wasn't who you thought he was. Listen to DarkSteven as well, no going back to his place on a first date- you don't know him well enough to put your safety at risk.

I used to "date" a guy who after swearing his undying love (WAY too early, eek) would go radio silent. At the end I suggested he have the CDC investigate as his family's rate of illnesses were way over the norm.

The first excuse was plausible, and the second...

And then I started noticing that he was creating an out the moment he arrived...

So I permanently removed him from "relationship material" and tentatively put him in the "fuck buddy" column until I dumped him after joining collarme (I'd met him on okcupid) and started carefully observing to see if men's actions matched their words.

I'm 1,500 miles away now and he still calls me (WTF?) I don't answer.

I wouldn't consider anyone my master until I had met him in real life and established a relationship. That said, there really isn't anything you can do at this point. He might show up with a really good excuse or he might be out banging some other chick he met on here. It is up to you how much time you waste waiting to find out. Maybe in the mean time you could research some groups or munches in your area and get out and meet some people. There might even be a TNG group that you could hook up with. If you have any questions feel free to cmail me on the other side.

As exciting as it is to want to rush towards a prospective first time, don't do it, you could be rushing towards a first time rape, heartbreak, or injury instead of towards an awesome experience.

Maybe, maybe not. It's up to her if she wants to wait it out. But she asked for opinions and was given that.

Of course it happens all the time. And in some cases you can read about it in the papers after the fact. But that is a good idea to get his plate number. That way the cops have a starting point when she doesn't come home by the next day.

If you want to meet, meet in public. Not in a parking lot, IN A PUBLIC PLACE like a coffee shop, where you can scream really loud, ask for help if you need to, whatever. Then if you want to live on the edge and go to his place, well, life's for living. I am not going to sit here and tell you that I have never done any ill-advised things. With all due respect for your right to post your opinion Arturas, I was hardly "swooping in to give negative advice." I posted due to some experiences *I* actually had while vanilla dating about her age.

Hopefully, the OP will realize I was concerned for her (and others) when I issued some words of caution about meeting someone for the first time...and you won't advise her to take a long shower after reading my post.
