quote:
Not really, since essentailly most are walking barefoot when walking in flip flops and such. It is more than a bit disgusting to think about. Why risk one's health? Well speaking as one who has walked barefoot whenever possible for 46 years, through not only Canadian cities and countryside, but those in India, Cambodia, and Japan as well, I find this statement absurd. The worst thing I ever had happen to my feet was to get a tiny fish bone in a toe while swimming at a pristine untouched beach with crystal clear water in the Gulf of Siam.....no parasites, no rot, no nothing other than the odd splinter or cut. If there is a risk involved, it is slight. edited for spelling
