Actually, abortion is cheaper AND safer than pregnancy, but the "opposition' goes nuts when that gets mentioned.

Your post constantly bleat your hatred of mexicans but you are quite aware that the law is on the books that will stop people entering this country illegally for employment. It has been posted for you numerous times but you continue to post up this tripe...why???

Know what I think is interesting, this is the same Catholic Church who went to great lengths to cover up the sex crimes committed by their Priests, who just moved them from one parish to the next allowing those sick bastards to rape other children.

Here they are screaming about life and how it has to be protected, but they did nothing to stop those crimes against children under the care of the churches and schools

Agreed ... and as a Catholic. I feel NONE of my questions about an ongoing effort to clean things up and protect children have been answered. Hence, my children were given the sacrament of baptism and since we've stayed the fuck away.

They unfortunately, like every other organized religion have become a business. Which is the REAL reason they care. It's  a COST CENTER revolving around their EMPLOYEES.

Oh, come now, those pedophiles didn't use condoms, as it was against their religion.

Birth control is far cheaper than a delivery room, new born nursery, pediatricians, ob visits... and thats if its a normal birth without complications. Add in an OR and team, extended stay, newborn jaundice, preterm labor, preterm delivery... oh my, the list goes on and on.

Also every member of the House and Senate have birth control covered under their taxpayer paid health insurance

A few plans will be exempt from this requirement, and they are noted below. Because the law was signed on October 21, 1998, after the FEHB brochures for 1999 were printed, the FEHB brochures you will receive during the Open Season do not reflect these additional benefits. You should use this notice when you read the brochures, so that you will have an accurate understanding of the benefits offered by plans that you are considering.

An official at the Office of Personnel Management, which administrates the program, has confirmed to ThinkProgress that all FEHB plans provide coverage for contraception, meaning that every single member of Congress opposing Obama’s rule now has the birth control coverage they’re seeking to deny to others.

Not to mention the same Catholic Church who then blatantly used the protection of the bankruptcy laws to insure that their victims were never compensated.
I swear, these religious nutjobs want us to go back to the 15th century.  HELL NO, I WON'T GO.

Fr

Just found out that the Catholic bishops are even more full of shit than I had thought. It turns out that employers, including religious organizations, have had to include contraceptives if they provide prescription coverage since 2000.
http://motherjones.com/politics/2012/02/controversial-obama-birth-control-rule-already-law

The only change is the plans won't be able to include a copay.

Apparently, the Catholic Church is screaming their heads off about the decision by the Obama administration that they are NOT exempted from proving benefits for birth control to their employees under the new Health Care law.  Screw them, who doesn't end up paying for things they don't believe in?  Good for Obama for standing up to these thugs.

Except....

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, [b]or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...

See that second part?

No id being forced to work for the Catholic Church or any other religion that employees people.

They don't employ people in their role as a church, they employ people in their role of running a business.  Why is that distinction so hard for people to understand?

Wow!

Most of Obama's "Controversial" Birth Control Rule Was Law During Bush Years

...Despite the longstanding precedent, "no one screamed" until now, said Sara Rosenbaum, a health law expert at George Washington University.

In December 2000, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ruled that companies that provided prescription drugs to their employees but didn't provide birth control were in violation of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which prevents discrimination on the basis of sex. That opinion, which the George W. Bush administration did nothing to alter or withdraw when it took office the next month, is still in effect today—and because it relies on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, it applies to all employers with 15 or more employees. Employers that don't offer prescription coverage or don't offer insurance at all are exempt, because they treat men and women equally—but under the EEOC's interpretation of the law, you can't offer other preventative care coverage without offering birth control coverage, too.

"It was, we thought at the time, a fairly straightforward application of Title VII principles," a top former EEOC official who was involved in the decision told Mother Jones. "All of these plans covered Viagra immediately, without thinking, and they were still declining to cover prescription contraceptives. It's a little bit jaw-dropping to see what is going on now…There was some press at the time but we issued guidances that were far, far more controversial."...

Their health care is paid for just like any corporate employees. They do pay in a portion, that portion dependent on the policy they choose.

It seems that picking a fight with the Catholic church wasn't the smartest thing to do. Obama has caved under pressure and will reverse his decision.

he 'has reversed'? or 'will change'?  does time mean anything?

Sorry, if they don't want to do this, (which they are already doing anyway), then they should give away this healthcare for free, instead of running a for profit of the pedophiles business.

It means that he caved under pressure. He should have listened to some of his advisors that said this might be the wrong time to do something like this.
