ORIGINAL: Rochsub2009 Those who are owned by Ms. Eve are there of their own volition. She provides something that is highly valued by those who serve Her. And they, in turn, serve Her loyally (and financially). While Her particular brand of D/s (or more accurately, M/s) is not for everyone, I think that many (most?) dominant women could learn from Her example. It amazes me that more Dommes don't emulate Her. Seriously, Roch, what on earth was all that about? Even if they wanted it, most women couldn't afford to get all the requisite cosmetic surgery even on their knockers. And what happens when a woman wants a man to talk to, as opposed to just a slobbering sub-kinkster? And what about when her tits start to droop and she develops grey hair and wrinkles? Or she accidentally farts? Pfft. I don't know. The fantasy world is so, so different from the world of relationships. Too far away for me to understand, I'm afraid. And this is why you are my Darling, instead of some random geezer with a black Amex card. Ms Eve is great at what she does, and she's happy with the life she's chosen. That life wouldn't work for me, and it wouldn't work for most women I know. I have to actually *like* the people who are serving me, whether they are serving me in the D/s sense, or if they are employees. I have to relate to them as one human to another, not as property that is there at my whim. Why would you see her as someone to emulate, Roch? I couldn't be that cold and be content with myself--it's just not "me", it's not my worldview, and it's not how I want my friends to behave. The ones emulating Ms Eve--and doing a piss-poor job--are those 19 year old gannets trumpeting their wishlists. In answer to why "so many doms" are agitated at financial doms... well, I think it's because there ARE so many women out there with their hands out offering nothing in return. It's at the point where a man will feel financially exploited if he picks up the tab at dinner. There have been many discussions on that topic, and in my mind, they all lead back to that truism about money being power.
