FR

For those who feel Romney need not say anything. Fine.

In the fall when people start asking him questions like "Do you support the Congressional hearing process"? "Do you support a citizen's right to testify before a hearing?" "Do you support a democratic public debate about issues" Romney is going to look a tad foolish. If he can't answer these questions now, what makes anyone think he can answer them convincingly this fall. And I think these are extremely relevant questions to be asking a Presidential candidate.

Sweety, those are incredibly relevant questions.

But "shouldn't Romney (essentially) apologize for Rush Limbaugh's lack of any sense of brain cells....because he's like....equivalent to a one cell organism" is NOT a relevant question.....NOR is it important for Romney to be a participant in.

(Nor is it reasonable for YOU to go to your local paper and denounce the asshole that lives 3 houses down from you because....he's an asshole).

EVERYONE WITHIN 16 BLOCKS ALREADY KNOWS...........he's an ASSHOLE!!!!!!

If you say NOTHING AT ALL.....NO ONE (with a brain) will think YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T SAY "HE'S AN ASSHOLE".

Ya know why?

Because everyone already knows he's an asshole!

I fundamentally disagree with this. Knowing who the bully is in the playground does NOT mean that someone is actually willing to stand up to him. Yes we all know who the bully is. And we all know who the bully represents. No one is disputing that. The question is, which one of the presidential candidates is man enough to stand up to him and the policies he represents.

President Obama has already spoken up and showed he has both balls and class. As Romney is likely to be the Republican candidate I think he needs to stand up to the bully (Limbaugh and the religious right). His failure to do so means he is deferring to the bully. Wow, how presidential of him that he can't even take on Limbaugh. Seriously?

Ya know what Princess....I actually agree with you (to some extent).

Every Republican Prez since fuckhead got a radio show has been scared shitless to stand up to him, indeed, several have invited him to the White House to thank him for his efforts.

The truth is, they had every reason to do so because the fuck for brains brought them "Rush is Right" votes.

The thing I always found so hilarious is (and I am CERTAIN the Presidential tapes they record of every visit will prove me out in 40 years)....these guys all (I just have to believe) must have been laughing their asses off after the shit for brains left the property telling each other "what a fucking putz".

About Rush.

He doesn't even have a clue what a shit for brains he actually is. That's how fucking dense he truly is.

Still doesn't change the essential premise.

Everyone already knows Rush is a one celled organism.

No one needs to say it.

It's simply a fact.

(And the day I become a Democrat is the day I swallow rock salt.....and I know he's a shithole).

And I guess I should add....if enough people don't say "he's a shithole", you're right, crowd psychology will (as it has already with this fuck) take over....so, on that note, I apologize for the things I've said previously because on THAT aspect alone....you're correct.

He's still an asshole....and everyone who doesn't already know that is also a one celled organism.

Some years back, I did a fair bit of reading about school bullies for a work project. One of the things I learned is that bullying thrives on silence. If the bully's peers do not chime in, he or she is much more likely to persist in and repeat the attack.

And I want leadership that knows how to stand up to bullies. Not pussy footing around him like Limbaugh is actually important. And in this context, Romney is absolutely a peer. He has the ability to humiliate Limbaugh and really put him in his place. But he consciously chooses not to. And while that is Romney's choice, choices matter. And choices tell us about what kind of human being he is. And what kind of leader he would make. Character is not just about the major policy stands. Character is also about all of the little choices that one makes day to day. (Just like strapping his dog to the roof of his car - I'll never be able to get that image out of my head. It may be something small. A small choice. But it speaks volumes about him that he would do that to an animal. Volumes.)
